Background
Thomas Domenici has an impressive background in the Tile and Stone Industry. Over 30 years of experience and involvement in the private, public, legal and practical aspects of this industry make him an Expert in his professional service. Manufacturing, Architectural and Design, Installation, Specifications, Forensics, Technical Development - there is not an aspect of the industry that he has not experienced and impacted with his knowledge.
Professional Experience
Tile Installation: Learned the craft of installing tile with the Union Apprenticeship program in Los Angeles, becoming a journeyman tile setter and foreman. Obtained a California Contractors C-54 license in 1982.
Industry Expert: Worked at the Ceramic Tile Institute with the founder George Lavenberg, as Field Analyst and Testing Manager. During the early 1980s experienced extensive involvement with Architects, Developers, Builders, Technical Associations and Industry Groups to ensure the proper application of tile and appropriate installation products and systems. Involved with forensic reviews and court cases as an Expert Witness.
Manufacturer of Installation Materials: Over 14 years working with a large manufacturer of products for the installation of tile and stone on large commercial and residential projects throughout the country. Managed the Technical Department for service to the country, then established and managed the Architectural Department to service the Architectural and Design Professionals. The Architectural Department provided AIA/CEU Health and Safety units to the Industry and won the AIA/CES Award for Excellence in the Commercial Stakeholder Category.
Architectural and Design Consultant: Involved with Construction Specifications Institute and American Institute of Architect associations to provide expertise in the area of Ceramic Tile and Stone Methods and Materials to the professional community. Worked as an Architectural Territory Manager for a Manufacturer of Ceramic Tile to provide expertise on tile production and use, including developing LEED programs.

Personal Interests
Thomas Domenici has lived in Huntington Beach, CA with his wife Juliette for the past 28 years. Together they have raised their four children. He backpacked 1500 miles, from Mexico to Oregon, on the Pacific Crest Trail in California. He enjoys writing music and plays two instruments.
