Preparation and recordation of all on-site construction activities, schedule, safety & costs on heavy highway projects for various local, county and state agencies in Maryland and Virginia. Acted as on-site company representative on projects up to $50,000,000 in value. Reported jobsite progress back to project manager at main corporate office.
Project Engineer. Reviewed job specifications with job team to maintain focus to original scope of contract. Prepared & executed submittals to owner, tracked red line revisions. Reviewed and executed subcontractor agreements. Executed & approved purchase orders & invoicing; Prepared monthly cost & revenue projections, initiated value engineering to promote cost efficiencies. Met with the company’s internal cost auditor on a monthly basis to review progress and job costs. Developed, tracked & managed project budgets and cash flow schedules. Recordation and Supervision of various scopes of construction activities, scheduling, safety & cost analysis on heavy highway projects, cast-in-place concrete, light rail and sound wall projects for various county, private and state agencies in Maryland and Illinois. Various engineer duties on projects up to $325,000,000 in value.
Field Engineer / Cost Engineer / Surveying. Performed takeoffs of upcoming operations & set up work plans. Looked for safety, productivity & quality issues on job site. Set control points using Topcon Total Station. Completed layout for sound walls, caissons, curbs and drainage structures. Planned & supervised installation of steel cable used for fall protection, on eight miles of existing elevated superstructure railway. Planned & supervised installation of fiberglass handrail & walkway. Wrote & updated hazard analysis sheets on track operations. Prepared work plans for weekend rail demolition. Approved & completed monthly invoices to subcontractors.
