Responsible for front line underwriting of all incoming business for the NYC territory. Promoted to Personal Lines underwriter responsible for the profitability of an upstate New York territory. Duties included the underwriting of all incoming business, re underwriting any under performing agency books, agency visits to include some marketing duties. Was chosen as one of the original members of the policyholder service team where we handled all incoming calls from agents, policyholders and car dealers. Performed all agency functions as a member of this team.

While employed at Aetna as a mail and supply clerk I designed and built a database to track all supply orders and mail usage for budget calculations. I was also involved in several projects to test new computer systems, and new products. In the construction industry I have designed several automated Word forms for contracts and proposals. I also designed and built several spreadsheets for payroll calculation, statement of values for commercial projects, estimating, and budget tracking.
Throughout my insurance career I have been involved in the transfer of several books from one computer system to another. During this process I was proficient in both systems while the conversion was done. At one point I worked on a transfer that included a Travelers book using the IBM OS2 platform to the Aetna system using the Windows system. I was also a point person in the implementation of wind and hail deductibles in NY state, and the use of insurance scoring. I was also a point person for book report ordering to determine any negative trends in an agency .
Was sent to Aetna home office to test the implementation of their new in home business endorsement.
