Electrical Installer II / Master Electrician
12/2007 – 1/15/10 Johnson Controls Inc., Milwuakee, Wis.
 At the position of Electrical Installer my duties have been the wiring of Roof Top Units, Air Handling Units, VAV’s, NAE’s, UNT controllers, FEC controllers, IOM controllers, DX controllers.
 Familiar with BacNet communications.
 I have the ability to layout all devices for AHU’s.
 I am able to load VAV boxes from a spreadsheet, and I have the ability to use CCT for troubleshooting purposes.
 I have great communication skills.
 I am a team player. I do what is necessary to get a job done with minimal callbacks.
 I can adapt to situations as they arise.
Master Electrician
12/2006 – 12/2007 M.C. Dean, Dulles, VA
 I had been working with Johnson Controls installing the building management system at the Philip Morris R & T building in Richmond, VA.. I started as an electrician with duties that included wiring the VAV's and the pneumatic boxes. Troubleshooting communication and power problems. Installed UNT's to control the fan coil units, reheat valves. Also installed gas sensors and horn/strobe alarm devices for H2S, Oxygen and LEL gases. Installing and commissioning fume hood controllers. I was promoted to foreman and had 14 electricians/apprentices that covered 8 floors.
Master Electrician
10/2006 - 12/2006 Universal Mechanical Inc., Chester, VA
 Joined Universal Mechanical with the intent of starting an electrical division. The work came very slow, so I did mechanical work which included but wasn't limited to installing metal duct work, insulating the duct work, setting outdoor condensing units and running the copper refrigerant lines. Installed a complex surround sound system in a retail store.
Industrial Electrician/Meltshop Electrical Manager
10/1998 - 10/2006 Chaparral Steel, Virginia, Petersburg, VA
 In 1998 I hired into Chaparral Steel as an industrial electrician. For 2 years that was the position I held and during that time I was responsible for the construction of the Caster. I was one on one with the contractors and the engineers that were building the plant. I was the lead electrician on the start-up of the Caster. Those duties included but were not limited to the wiring and testing of the Fisher valves with I/P's, RTD's, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, Barber-Coleman burner controllers, Honeywell burner controllers, motors with brakes and encoders, troubleshooting hardware and PLC problems. In mid 2000 I took the position of Meltshop electrical manager. My responsibilities include the overseeing of the day to day operations of the 14 Meltshop electricians, planning projects and the annual outage.
Journeyman Electrician
7/1995 - 10/1998 Central Electric Co., Ashland, Va
 I was given the opportunity to work at WestVaCo on their printing presses. This included running conduits pulling wires, wiring devices and the start-up of the presses.Installed a leveling process for the locks at the Nine Mile gates for the city of Richmond. This included setting the transducers and wiring them to a remote panel and installing and wiring the modem that sent the signal back to the main control room.I had the opportunity to run a service truck and performed work at BOC gases in Hopewell, VA.. This included installing lights, working on their PLC, installing float, limit, and temperature switches. I also installed ammonia sensors and an Federal Signal intercom/alarm system.I also answered trouble calls at Praxaire in Hopewell, VA.. I installed CO2 machinery, wash columns, motors and the commissioning of new equipment.In 1997 I travelled to China and oversaw the installation of a tobacco threshing machine. I was in charge of 25 Chinese workers as they installed the wiring from the PLC to field devices. Also oversaw the wiring motors as large as 250hp to VFD's. I then oversaw the commissioning of the threshing line.
