Construction One is a company of about 30 employees and annual sales of $30,000,000. Clients included Value City Furniture Stores, DSW Shoe Stores, Cracker Barrels Old Country Stores, Bob Evans Restaurants and Aldi’s food stores. Projects ranged from tenant fit-outs to total out-of-ground new builds.
• Reviewed all documents and drawings to evaluate what trades were needed to bid the project
• Conducted site visits for projects to discuss specific scope of work required to complete the project
• Sent bid invitations to subcontractors and established relationships with the subs to assure complete and accurate bids on each project

The class was designed to teach new estimators and new staff members how the project came to be, from the “birth†of the documents to bidding to the general contractor. The class was a lecture format with students participating in class discussions and creating a general contract bid in the last class.
