Led $1B expansion at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim Ca. - extensive newly designed and highly themed facilities, attractions, area development, shows, and rides to transform the Resort to a new level of success. Hands on leader for every aspect of this portfolio of 39 projects:
• $400M “Cars Land†with 6 acre high energy self powered roller coaster themed from the Pixar movie “Cars.†Scope also includes two round ride attractions, 250K square feet of ornate rockwork, high capacity restaurant, food kiosks, and two merchandise shops - BIM/IPD as the delivery method.
• Complete redesign of the park entry to create an authentic 1928 Spanish mission style town.
• $100M Little Mermaid “E-Ticket†attraction – utilizing BIM/IPD.
• $90M “World of Color†water spectacular.
• Extensive new and renovations to merchandise and restaurant facilities.
• Extensive enhancement to hardscape and landscape.
Led Team of 250 in-house professionals, ~ 1,500 contractor/consultants.

• Tower of Terror thrill ride - $160M

Hands on leadership of Project Teams delivering $2.2B in highly complex turnkey projects at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Ca.
Resort expansion included the new Disney’s California Adventure theme park and beautification of the Anaheim Resort District. Specifically:
• 25 attractions with the world’s longest catapult launch roller coaster, highly themed Grizzly River Rapids water flume ride, and the highly inventive Soarin’ attraction.
• 10 restaurants and food kiosks.
• 8 merchandise shops.
• Mondavi Winery.
• Design management of the “craftsman†style 750 room Grand California Hotel.
• Substantial infrastructure, improvements of the Resort District in neighboring Anaheim, and the largest parking “speed†structure in the country.
Projects also included four (4) highly themed attractions with individual budgets exceeding + $100M. These included:
• Toon Town, with a roller coaster, town trolley, Roger Rabbit ride, food court, merchandise shop, and rich “toon†style area development.
• Indiana Jones highly inventive, highly themed attraction with self powered, motion base actuated vehicle fleet.
• New Tomorrowland
• Tower of Terror.
The Team consisted of over 600 in-house professionals and 3,500 contractor personnel.
WDI Project Director – Euro Disney – Paris, France - $384M (non escalated). – July 1987 to June 1992.
Led the Project Team responsible for major projects within Euro Disneyland. Managed large multi-national design firms, contractors and vendors from France, Italy, the U.K., and the U.S. to deliver the most elaborately detailed project in the history of the Company. Projects included:
• Sleeping Beauty’s Castle (most ornate castle in France).
• 7 attractions including hanging coaster, water flume ride, dark rides, iron rides, and a custom 5 row Carrousel with wood carved horses.
• 5 restaurants
• 3 merchandise shops
• Extraordinarily ornate area development.
Branch Manager for Los Angeles branch office of a specialty contractor, Intermountain Specialty (ISEC) - April 1985 to June 1987.
Delivered bottom line business success for L.A. office of this Denver based contractor. Sold and oversaw staff delivering significant laboratory casework/millwork projects. Quadrupled backlog, increased revenue, gross profit, and customer satisfaction.
Sr. Project Manager - Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee – Jan. 1983 to December 1984.
Project managed the design and construction, including the “Olympic Lookâ€, for ten (10) sport venues; and all athlete training sites. Included the new Cycling Velodrome and Shooting facility, in addition to many significant renovations to transform existing facilities to Olympic venues. Reported directly to the Executive VP - Bechtel.
WDI Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager – Sept. 1979 to Jan. 1983.
Responsible for major Walt Disney World EPCOT project to oversee all phases from conceptual design through construction, show/ride installation and turnover to the Owner.
