Chatterley Whitfield Footbridges 05/2009 – 06/2009
 One Span Bridge: Involved in design of sub-structures for a 14.0m span footbridge.
 Duties were to design reinforced concrete bankseats at either end of the span, with foundations designed as spread footings.
 Works also included the design check of paired steel RHS edge beams supporting a stiffened steel deck, with integral parapets welded to the top of the edge beams.
 Three Spans Bridge: Three spans of 15.0m, 17.0m and 15.0m. Overall span of 47.0m. Involved in design of sub-structures for three Spans Bridge.
 Duties were to design reinforced concrete abutments (bankseats) founded on reinforced earth embankments and to design intermediate supports consist of reinforced concrete bases with plinths to support the trestles.
ANITA, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council 06/2009 – 10/2009
 Involved in design of reinforced concrete inlet and outlet headwalls for 60m long culvert.
 Duties were to detailed design of reinforced concrete headwalls (retaining wall structure), preparation of quantity list of materials, concrete specification, approval in principle (AIP) documents and design check certificates.
Ashton Gateway Bridge –Bristol City Football Club 08/2009 – 09/2009
 Four span bridge on piled foundations with run-on slabs. Deck comprises multiple steel girders composite with reinforced concrete deck slab, semi-integral with reinforced concrete abutments. In situ reinforced concrete piers.
 Duties were to analyze loads and initial design of reinforced concrete piers.
A-35 Stinsford Roundabout improvement scheme 09/2009 – 11/2009
 Involved in design of king-post retaining wall structure.
 Duties were to detailed design of king-post retaining wall.
 Preparation of approval in principle (AIP) document and specifications.
Area 12 Steady State Assessment – Ingram Road Bridge, Highway Agency 08/2009 – 01/2010
 Reviewed previous assessment and carried out new assessment to the three spans prestressed concrete bridge structure.
 Duties were to determine the current HA, HB and SV vehicle load capacity of the centre span and end span of the structure, using detailed grillage analysis and hand calculations in accordance with the latest Approval in Principle (AIP) document.
 Duties also included determination of load carrying capacity of existing reinforced concrete piers for HA, HB and SV vehicle loadings. Detailed assessment calculations were prepared in accordance with Design Manuals for Roads and Bridges, together with the use of WSP spreadsheets to calculate the capacity of prestressed beams.
A-45 South Bridge Replacement- Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council 06/2009 – 12/2009
 New steel-concrete composite bridge needed to replace the existing arch bridge with a wider structure, to allow a greater volume of traffic to use he route construct a new structure and demolish old. A three span option in with steel girders and an in situ reinforced concrete deck, assembled to the site and launched into place.
 Duties were to determine the initial size of the steel girders, load analysis and initial design of concrete piers, foundations & semi-integral reinforced abutments with piles.
Commercial
Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) 05/2008 – 08/2008
 The £18 million refurbishment including a new build 3 storey BREEAM Excellent building utilizing the existing foundations and column positions.
 Duties were foundations and retaining wall designs, AMFAC associated external works, preparation of specification for Blocks A & F.
 Design of new mezzanine structure within existing plant room for water pumps and office.
Industrial
Nissin Showa, OpCo Construction, Value £1.8 million, 02/2008 – 04/2008
 Design engineer for the portal frame structure.
 Responsible for structural design and preparation of structural calculations, specifications and design report for a 3,600 Sq m warehouse extension, chemical store and quality garage.
 Duties were to design the portal frame, pad foundations under main frame stanchions, perimeter edge thickening to ground floor slab, short length retaining walls to canopy areas.
Retail
Primark, Tooting, London 08/2008 – 04/2009
 Design engineer for this refurbishment project of a three storey reinforced concrete retail business building.
 Duties included the design of the alteration and installation of existing and new structural elements, demolition of existing waffle slab and connection design of new steel members to existing concrete members, and preparation of design report.
Marks & Spencer, Llanishen, Cardiff 05/2008 – 07/2008
 Design engineer for this refurbishment and extension of existing portal framed structure.
 Duties included the outline proposal and the scheme design of the project.
Primark (Flagship Store), Bristol, Work value £15 million 04/2008 – 04/2009
 Design engineer for refurbishment of a seven storey retail building. The Grade A+ superstore will be trading off four floors with 100,000sq ft of retail space – an area roughly the size of two football pitches.
 Responsible for the design of the structural alterations including new goods and passenger lifts, replacement of existing escalator, new service voids, roof plant, new structural elements ,mezzanine floor demolition, strength check for existing historic elements for new loadings and connection details for new members to existing members and perpetration of design report.
Marks & Spencer Food, Cardiff Avenue 04/2008 – 06/2008
 Duties were to design the new mezzanine structure within existing portal framed building.

 Design engineer of new three storey reinforced concrete structure, part of a series of eight buildings for a retail development.
 Duties included the detailed design of concrete elements, shear walls, pad foundations and preparation of calculation report. Responsibilities included the structural design of the project.
Primark, Derby, 11/2007 – 05/2008
 Design engineer for this refurbishment of a seven storey reinforced concrete retail building. Converting old Marks & Spencer store into new Primark store.
 Responsible for the design of the structural alterations including new goods and passenger lifts, replacement of existing escalator, new service voids, roof plant, and new piled pits for lifts.
