-The North Central Group is an owner, developer and manager of hotels throughout the United States
-Started with the company as the owner’s Facility Manager, overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of twenty hotels located throughout the Midwest.
-Advanced to the position of owner’s Project Manager after two years where I worked with architects, engineers, interior designers, owners, boards of directors, government officials and franchise representatives in the design and development of fourteen company owned and managed hotels with construction contracts between $7-$12 million
-Worked with the Director of Development to complete the budgets for all projects
-Developed the project schedules with the general contractor’s project manager and project superintendant
-Was an active member of North Central’s Green Team, which is a group of employees from all aspects of the North Central Group, including operations, maintenance, development and interior design. The Green Team’s goal was to determine ways to reduce energy consumption, reduce waste and increase the efficiency of all of the buildings
-Conducted periodic on-site project meetings throughout the duration of construction
-Oversaw the daily activities of the general contractors to make sure they were staying on or ahead of schedule and on or under budget

-Coordinated the weekly workload of the Project Coordinators involved on my projects to make sure all FF&E was ordered and arrived as needed

-Jacobus Energy is the owner of automated fueling facilities and other petroleum facilities throughout the United States
-Started with the company as the owner’s Assistant Facilities Manager, working with the Facilities Manager overseeing the daily maintenance of the company’s automated fueling facilities and convenience stores located throughout Wisconsin.
-Promoted to the owner’s Facilities Manager position after one year
-After three years as Facilities Manager, my role was changed to owner’s Construction Manager, where I directed the design and construction of thirty-two automated fueling facilities in the Midwest and Southeastern regions of the country
-Procured the equipment and completed the installation of that same equipment to automate numerous private trucking companies’ fueling facilities that Jacobus Energy was managing
-Worked with architects, engineers, contractors and local regulators during the design and construction of the automated fueling facilities
-Supervised a staff of fifteen maintenance and operations personnel who were responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of the company’s facilities, as well as the fuel inventory at all of the automated fueling facilities and bulk plants
-Worked with the company’s owners, insurance carriers, federal, state and local government officials in the implementation of plans to meet the phase-in of the 1988 Underground Storage Tank regulations
-Designed all construction details and wiring diagrams to make installations more consistent to assist in trouble-shooting
-Provided technical assistance for the maintenance technicians and service contractors
-Negotiated bulk purchasing agreements with equipment manufacturers, fuel haulers and additive suppliers in order to acquire equipment at a lower cost, reduce hauling rates and per gallon costs
-Assisted the Vice President of Business Development in the selection of new sites, worked with consultants to complete Phase I and Phase II Environmental Analysis, gave recommendations to VP of Business Development and Owners on which parcels were most easily developed
