Projected and assigned workloads produced CAD generated shop drawings for installation. Supervised four drafters, assuring quality drawings and timely completion of projects. Attended coordination meetings, conducted on-site surveys, and interacted with field personnel.
Projects: Columbia University Residence, Memorial Sloan Kettering Research Facility, Yonkers Raceway,
Montefiore Medical Center and numerous high-rise apartment buildings.
Supervisor, Drafting Department. WDF Inc, Mount Vernon N.Y. 1989-2003
Supervised three drafters in developing drawings for coordination and installation of plumbing/process piping systems and equipment. Prepared base and anchor bolt detail drawings. Coordinated nozzle orientation and sizing detailed drawings, verified vendor submissions for compliance with specifications. Reviewed hanger details and location drawings also prepared fabrication drawings for purchase of pipe and fittings. Maintained close working relationship with field personnel. Coordinated boiler replacements on NYC schools, verified tube pull and breaching locations. Coordination of space requirements within existing structure which included boiler locations and pad requirements. Designed pad and reinforcement drawings which were then reviewed by a PE prior to submittal. Estimated cost of design/drafting for projects to be incorporated within the bid documents.

Draftsman/ Designer/ Coordinator. H&F Kornfeld Mount Vernon N.Y. 1986-1989
Coordinated plumbing systems, including medical gasses, de-ionized water and acid waste, developed shop drawings for installation.
Projects: Mt. Sinai Modernization (including Guggenheim and Klingenstein Pavilions), Kingsborough Community College and Lederle Laboratories. Additional Experience: On location in London, England, studying plumbing and design in preparation for future coordination and design responsibilities on European projects; notably coordination of the Garage at Canary Warf
Draftsman/ Designer/ Pipe Fitter Foreman. Veteran’s Administration Hospital Montrose N.Y.
1975-1986
Pipe fitter- Responsible for maintenance, repair and troubleshooting plumbing and heating piping and equipment. Draftsman/ Designer- Design of sterilization and processing center, including preparation of plumbing, heating and electrical design drawings, overseeing installation. Prepared specifications and drawings for the air conditioning system required for the sterilization area insuring the proper air changes. Which were sent out for the bidding process to outside contractors. Developed specifications and drawings for the installation of a backup steam main, including asbestos removal, to be installed in an exterior tunnel. Aided in projects going out to bid. Foreman- Supervised six pipefitters responsible for maintenance repair and installation of high, medium and low pressure steam mains, boiler plant, medical gas systems, sprinkler systems and pneumatic control systems. Assigned personnel workloads which included emergency repairs, preventive maintenance and scheduled projects. Projected time frames and prepared estimates for extended projects including material costs. Ordered all materials and equipment required for construction. Maintained actual material costs and extended manpower for projects to be applied to cost centers. Arranged for and hired temporary workers. Inter faced with the director of maintenance and the supervisors of the other trades to apply costs to the projects.

Responsibilities included coordination of plumbing with other trades at New Gouverneur Hospital N.Y. Upon completion of the project, I remained with R & C Corporation as a plumbing foreman on four schools.
