* I was invited to this project to develop a fully independent functioning direct hire Survey Engineering Department.
* Developed a rotating schedule to accommodate two 10 hour construction shifts.
* Developed a fully staffed engineering office, including a controlled document station, AutoCAD support, Trimble TGO, and office survey support.
* Developed a process and procedure for the project, adopted and implemented project wide.
* Reduced the sub-contract survey staff and replaced and implemented a direct hire, mobile and trained survey department, basing this on verbatim compliant nuclear standards.
* Developed an office system of 100% retrievable data, a multiple eyes on system of dealing with ENDCR’s, RFI’s, in a timely fashion; developed to keep pace with a fast track, design built project with an aggressive construction schedule.
* Upgraded out dated survey systems with current Trimble Technology.
* Answered a level 1 C.A.R. from construction based problems believed to be survey related. Sat on the ROOT CAUSE as a committee member. Reduced the C.A.R to a level 3, and set procedures in place to address Survey Department Programmatic problems.
* Wrote the Project Specific Procedure (PSP)
* Developed a department Org. Chart.
* Developed Manpower Metrics for reducing all sub-contract surveyors project wide, with feasibility studies.
* Introduced a Survey Work Request procedure to increase productivity and communications between survey and construction.
