PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Morley Builders | BenchMark Contractors Senior Project Engineer (Sep. 2008 – Sep. 2009)
• Camino del Sol (University California Irvine and American Campus Communities): $90 million – Undergraduate student housing complex consisting of 22 buildings, 1 Community Building and 1 Maintenance Building. All buildings are “Type V†over PT slabs. LEED Gold Certified project.
• Analyzed bids wrote respective scopes of work for various trades including: Roofing, Sheet Metal, Waterproofing, Plaster, Insulation, Flooring and Painting.
• Responsible for all exterior skin waterproofing details and the applicable production sequence to be used in the field.
• Conducted and documented all Framing/MEP coordination meetings.
• Analyzed, documented and packaged all Owner COR’s to be submitted at monthly billing meeting.
• Obtained and reviewed all Contractor required credits and documentation to certify the project as LEED Gold. Submitted and uploaded credits to USGBC website.
Snyder-Langston Lead Project Engineer (Jan. 2008 – June 2008)
• Regency Tower (Silagi Development): $70 million – 250,000 sf, class “A†ten story office building with three subterranean parking levels. Extensive shoring, waterproofing, steel framing, precast & curtain wall exterior.
• Assisted Project Manager in contract writing and scopes of work for subcontractors.
• Assisted Project Manager in completing project buyout in timely manner. Including bid analysis, contract packages, initial subcontractor meetings and constructability reviews.
• Conduct A & E meetings regarding crane erection, waterproofing, and MEP coordination.
• Front loaded Document Tracking System in regards to Submittals and Material Delivery.
• Assisted Superintendent in site logistics including SWPP, traffic plan and initial project mobilization.
Snyder-Langston Assistant Superintendent/Field Engineer (March 2007 – Dec. 2007)
• Pacifica Long Beach (Lennar Urban): $30 million – 62 residential unit mixed use project. Type 5 construction over podium deck. Structural concrete, post tension deck, wood framing, MEP coordination, safety, scheduling.
• Responsible for project quality, MEP inspections and timely project close-out.
• Developed 3 week look-ahead schedules for various trades to complete milestones.
• Documented all punchlist items with owner and followed through to completion.
Snyder-Langston Lead Project Engineer (May 2006 – March 2007)
• KIA Motors North America (KIA/Studley CM): $80 million – 275,000 sf, class “A†three story office buildings with complete tenant build-out and extensive site work.
• Responsible for following trades: Curtain wall, framing, roofing, MEP, fire sprinkler, pond, numerous finishing trades and site work.
• Analyzed all subcontractor COR’s and verified accuracy of claim.
• Engineering duties: RFI’s, submittals, drawings, close-out, training, punchlist, SCOR’s, meeting minutes, weekly logs.
HBI Construction Inc. Project Engineer (May 2005 – May 2006)
• Project Engineer under direct supervision of two company Vice Presidents.
• Project Engineering and Superintendent duties of numerous projects including: Spectrum Business Center ($25 million), Rye Canyon Business Park ($20 million), Storage West, StorQuest Playa Vista and various Weingarten Realty projects.
• Took on Superintendent role during transition times and time-off requests.
• Completed punch list and close-out of numerous projects simultaneously.
