CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
► Visionary and dependable: Promoted through all facets of administering building completion in the Indianapolis market since 1985 starting with the Multi-family products and quickly shifting into the single family housing market building homes; considering a broad price range of $ 100k to $ 500k with the top 10 range of builders in the market. Personally responsible for Dura Builders’ personal annual closings of up to 185 homes with minimal staff; including closing of the homes, weekend service in all subdivisions responsible for multiple developments throughout my tenure there while awaiting a full time service technician to be hired.
► Innovative: Developed the first structured service department at Dura-Builders answering the need for expansion of the company. Introduced production departments’ quality standard programs while at Hansen and Horn and streamlined workloads during entire process. Also in warranty department overhead reduction from 15 people to 2 people within 3 years reducing operating costs over $150 K annually. Hired in Hansen and Horn as an assistant production supervisor in 1985 and promoted within a year to Construction Supervisor working up the ranks learning the various process’s; implementing ideas to facilitate costs reduction while increasing quality and productivity. Working up through the ranks of construction to warranty management, back into construction management.
â–º Assertive: Working directly in inner office departments of M/I Homes of Indiana managing and overseeing multiple departments including site planning, design development, costing product, permitting, schedule development, product implementation, service and safety. Accountable for entire production staffing and related departments for Indianapolis division. Responsible for budget controls of up to 25 million dollars.
► Strategic: Completed M/I Homes of Indiana’s over 420 units in 2002 and ranging from 250 to 400 annual units overseeing area production managers and all homes under construction. In less than four years starting in a supervisory role being promoted quickly into management then into senior management by implementing cost saving ideas, training high quality personnel, reducing operating costs, increasing quality standards and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction at all times. Holding the position responsibilities of Vice President of production.
â–º Projects; five story mixed use commercial/retail, 105 unit complex with 7 retail units, green space courtyard in middle of building, underground and street level parking. Management level, completion of over 3,000 residential units, from entry level through custom level. I have been involved in all aspects of construction from the community development, design, estimating, marketing, construction through completion and customer service. Refurbished 2 homes and; designed and built 2 custom homes for my own family, while having fulltime employment. The last home sold for $415,000, in a down market.
