This Tulsa Community College addition was underway for approximately 8 months prior to my tenure with Nabholz. This newly completed, $6.33 million, two-story Science & Math classroom facility at the West Campus was 26,000 sf and included a skybridge, second floor student balcony and greenhouse. Responsibilities included multiple change orders from TCC and subcontractors, approval of pay applications from subcontractors / suppliers, weekly Owner / Architect and Subcontractor meetings, daily discussions with the Nabholz Field Superintendent and many other PM duties to provide a timely completion and quality with integrity.
Sr. Estimator, Cowen Construction, Tulsa, OK 7/07-2/08
Negotiated and hard bid projects for this general contractor. Projects were primarily located in the Tulsa area. These included tenant finish and ground up construction. Projects included churches, medical office buildings, public schools, shopping centers and other conceptual projects scheduled and budgeted. Responsibilities included adequate bid coverage from all trades along with a complete itemization of quantities to be included in the scope of work. This also included careful review of specifications for precise scope of work including the General Condition requirements set forth by the architect of record.
Manager of PreConstruction Services, Rentenbach Constructors, Hurst, TX 7/05-5/07
Hard bid, conceptual pricing and negotiated work for this general contractor. Projects were located in TX, AR, OK, MS and LA.
• These consisted of shopping centers, churches, CarMax Autosuper Stores, Belk Dept. Stores, warehouse and many other conceptual projects. Responsibilities included team efforts in Request for Information, Requests for Proposals, lead in bidding projects and new subcontractor / vendor acquisitions.
Project Estimator, EMJ Corporation, Irving, TX 4/04-6/05
Responsibilities include invitations to bid for all trades, take-off of all sitework, concrete, masonry, carpentry, bidding each project and buy-out of subcontracts, writing all subcontracts and purchase orders in a timely manner (typically a 30 day time frame). Additional responsibilities also included Joint Check Agreements / Bonding and Cost Reports.
• Projects successfully managed include Lowe’s Stores (TX – ID - CO), Dowlen Towne Centre Tilt-up (TX), Pier One Imports Tilt-up (TX), Kohl’s – Civil (TX).
• Other projects bid included Lowe’s combination of Tilt-up and masonry projects (TX, OK, LA, MO, MS, CO), Anderson Merchandise Warehouse Tilt-up (TX), Linens-N-Things (LA).

Complete responsibilities for all aspects of the project from bidding to final pay. Responsibilities included, but not limited to, a through knowledge of plans and specifications to be included in the bid and project, writing of all subcontracts and purchase orders, owner change orders, correspondence to the owner and architect along with daily discussions with subcontractors, vendors and field superintendent to manage the projects for a timely completion, within budget, quality and safety were of top priority.
