I am looking for a position in the Construction/Manufacturing Industries. I feel because of my extensive experience in Carpentry as well as Fine Woodworking and Construction make me an excellent candidate for this type of position.
My most recent position was as a furniture maker with Paul Downs Cabinetmakers, a highly-regarded firm whose clientele was predominantly Main Line residents. During my five years there I built, packed, and delivered fine furniture throughout the Northeast. I also am very skilled in the plumbing, electrical and mechanical trades.
I was unfortunately laid off by Paul Downs at the end of 2008 due to the economy. The company let go almost 50% of it's workforce because business was so bad. Since then, I have worked for myself doing carpentry, general construction and restoring vintage furniture. I am looking for a more stable, secure position with a great company.
I am responsible and dependable and the kind of employee who will do what it takes to get the job done right, whatever it takes. I have excellent interpersonal skills and work well with others. I am certain that you will find my experience and skills qualify me for your advertised position. And I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to talk to you to answer any questions you may have. I have attached my resume for your consideration. I would be happy to provide you with references if you'd like. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Ben Payne
