In these tough economic times one needs to have those qualities that an employer is looking for to fill the desired position. I believe that I can, with my 34 years of experience in the construction industry, meet those expectations.
My construction career has been almost exclusively in the heavy & commercial side of the business except for the last 3 years which were primarily residential. I began in 1975 on 2 stations for the subway system in the Washington, DC area, the I-65 bridge spanning the Mobile River in Alabama in the late 70’s, to Baltimore, Md. in the early 1980’s, to work on another subway station & after that, for 2 years on the I-95 tunnel under the Baltimore harbor. I was then transferred to Weston, W. Va. for 4 years to work on the Stonewall Jackson Dam, a 106,000 sq. yd. concrete gravity dam. We then relocated back to my home state of Florida in 1987, when we decided, with 2 children in school, to settle down & stop relocating for every job. I worked for several years exclusively on Disney property at numerous hotels, the MGM amusement park, at which point my resume picks up.
I have always been very organized & meticulous at whatever task I undertake, am a team player, & take pride in a job well done. I look forward to the opportunity for a personal interview.
Sincerely,
Michael Rettstatt
