To secure a position as a licensed electrician/ foreman.
Dear Human Resources Director:
I am writing in reply to the classified ad seeking to fill the position of Licensed Electrician
I have been awarded an Associate in Arts From Dean Junior College. I hold the Journeyman Electrician License # 50997 E, Boston Fire Dept. F-1 # F 19264, O.S.H.A.10 and O.S.H.A.30, confined space awareness training and hazardous material training. I have been Trained and worked in Quality Control for Raytheon Corp and as a Customer Service Engineer at Checkpoint Systems.
During my military career, I achieved Instructor/Trainer status for Signal, Water Purification, and Field Artillery Schools. Served as Recruiter and Career Councilor for the Massachusetts Army National Guard and early intervention councilor on the Drug and Alcohol awareness program.
During my career in the electrical industry, I have taken on the positions of Foreman, Lead Electrician and Instructor of Electrical Code and Theory. In this capacity I was able to be an effective advisor to apprentices who were experiencing scholastic problems which threatened their future in the industry; especially to older apprentices who were seeking a career change and had problems adjusting to the obligations of work, school and family life.
I believe my background in adult education and my work related duties make me an excellent candidate for this position.
Sincerely,
Steven A. McCulley
