Massachusetts DCAM Corrections Facilities Master Planning - Architectural Designer
Prepared CAD drawings and organized data to support a master plan for the Massachusetts Corrections System. It included an assessment of facilities and programs, and prescribed changes for each facility and program based on the determined degree of need. Worked closely with the Massachusetts Department of Capital Management (DCAM) and other related state government institutions. (12/07 – 05/09)
MSBA Technical Assistance and Condition Assessment Program - Architectural Designer
Provided design review and program analysis for several schools within the Massachusetts Schools Building Authority (MSBA) as part of a program to determine the condition of Commonwealth School District facilities. As a member of the assessment team I provided the MSBA with support and technical assistance conducted a program review using my expertise in contemporary school designs and trends in education, developed programs and school design standards in coordination with local school districts, and verified that they met code. Documented, catalogued, and assessed the physical conditions of each facility. In addition, reviewed bids and cost estimates of potential sites, budgets, and value engineering. (8/07 - 12/07)
Dixon Realty - Construction Supervisor
Supervised and coordinated activities of construction workers for Dixon Realty in Grafton, MA. Inspected work at construction sites to determine progress and verify that specifications and safety measures were properly addressed. In addition, planned the installation and construction of structure and equipment, trained workers in operation of equipment, and assisted in the construction work. (2004 - 2006)
Employees’ Association of Companies Superintendence Leisure Cottages - Architectural Designer
Developed schematic design and pre-feasibility studies for client approval at the Leisure Cottages in Tonsupa, Ecuador. The 48-acre site included 32,437 sf of construction, including 12 condominiums, a guardian house, a cafeteria, dressing rooms, restrooms, a swimming pool, a parking area, and a playground. (1997)
November 11 Association, Leisure Condos - Architectural Designer and Construction Supervisor
Responsibilities included development of layout and construction plans design, as well as evaluating proposed buildings and preparing space plans. Designed and prepared proposals for construction costs, estimates, and specifications for the condominiums in Tonsupa, Ecuador. The 43-acre site included 26,834 sf of construction. (1993)
Ecuadorian Institute of Hydraulics Resources Exhibit Hall Inaugural Exhibition - Interior Designer and Exhibition Coordinator
Estimated material requirements and costs and presented designs to the Institute for approval for this exhibition in Quito, Ecuador. Advised the client about interior design factors including space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, and color coordination. Prepared drawings that included material specifications and detailed construction plans. Oversaw the preparation of artwork, the construction of exhibit components, and the placement of the exhibit collection. In addition, inspected the installed exhibit for conformance to specifications and satisfactory operation of special effect components. (1987)

Developed and designed new layouts and construction plans for this 9,709-sf (902-square-meter) exhibition hall and office in Quito, Ecuador. Responsible for the design and preparation of proposals for construction costs, estimates, and specifications. Managed and coordinated personnel and operational activities involved during all phases of construction. (1987)
Cooperative Transport Bus Terminal - Co-Designer Architect
Developed schematic design and prefeasibility studies for a new bus terminal in Quito, Ecuador. The 43-acre site included permanent parking spaces, bus maintenance facilities, administrative offices, fueling facilities, and customer amenities, including waiting areas and a cafeteria. (1987)
Municipality of Pujili, Development and Regulation Urban Plan - Urban Planner
Developed plans with recommendations for the Development and Regulation Urban Plan for the City of Pujili, Ecuador. Using statistical methods, compiled, organized, and analyzed data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting land use. Conducted field investigations, economic and public opinion surveys, and demographic studies to gather appropriate information. Maintained this data and applied it to land use, including projects in transportation, conservation, and community use. In addition, reviewed and evaluated environmental impact reports. Evaluated information to determine the feasibility of proposals and to identify factors in the urban plan requiring amendment. Recommended governmental measures affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation. (1984 - 1985)
