Dear Recruiter / Builder,
I am posting my resume along in the hope that your company may have an opening that I'm not over qualified for. Many home builders and and other contractors do consider me over qualified due to the fact that my going rate is $60 to $100 per hour. But the economy has changed making me open to new opportunities. I am a Carpenter IV (Master Carpenter) with 33 years in the trades and have management experience. My portfolio of project photographs and letters of recommendation weighs many pounds by now that is collected in more than a handful on volumes. I would be happy to share these at the time of an interview.
Please think strongly of hiring me as my extensive skill sets would me a windfall for your organization. During the 20 good years that that are reasonably left before retirement could be used to teach and pass on the trade to the next generation.
I am willing to relocate.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Chris Oldham, Master Carpenter
