Hello,
For the last five years I have been working at Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo, CA. on a number of different projects. The last of these projects I was Inspector of Record for the student housing project which was a LEED certified project.
I have been an industrial, commercial and residential inspector with responsibility for managing construction projects from pre-construction to final inspection and have established an excellent record in such assignments.
My experience has been at all levels Local, State, Federal and International. This broad range of experience allows me to fit in to projects in many different capacities. I have many license and certifications from different states and regions including International Codes Council.
I can objectively describe myself as a mature, low-key, confident individual, self-motivated, detail oriented professional; one who is a skilled manager. I respond well to challenging conditions that involve problem solving where results are imperative.
My career as a quality control professional began in 1992 and has resulted in the successful completion of many multi-million dollar projects overseen by me.
I would appreciate an opportunity to meet with you or a member of your staff to discuss how my experience and capabilities might meet the needs of your organization. I have attached my resume in MS Word format for your consideration.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Sean Reed

EXPERIENCE
HOFFMAN ASSOCIATES, INC. SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA
Senior Inspector / Construction Manager Supervisor: Jim Hoffman
Inspects and/or manages public works projects.
As Construction Manager (CM) my responsibilities were to make sure the project was safe, compliant, on time and on budget. This required that I manage the recourses to maximize efficiencies and minimize downtime by making sure that anything affecting the critical path was dealt with timely.
Included in these responsibilities were the review of request for information (RFI’s) to make sure the RFI’s were distributed to the correct party and expedited; Review all change orders (CO’s) and field instruction (FI’s) for compliance to determine how it affects the contingency budget and see where they originated from. Depending on where it originated from, initiated by the owner, error or omission by the design team or unforeseen circumstances would determine how the change would affect the budget.
To keep the University aware of all aspects of construction, preparation of reports and record keeping must be continually maintained.
