DART Orange Line project is a 9.3 mile Light Rail line connecting the existing Green Line (Carrollton) and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Project involves Roadway geometric design (Street & Alley design) where the track crosses the roadway/highway and creating proposed surfaces based on the track grading and profile.
Responsible for all aspects of highway design including horizontal and vertical alignments, definition of right-of-way requirements, typical sections, cross sections, contour grading, and detour plans. Performed coordination between client and sub consultants. Responsibilities also included Construction and Traffic control plan preparation and meeting client deadlines.
Transportation Civil Engineer - I, Transystems Corp., Inc, Fort Worth, TX Jan’ 07-Feb’ 09
Job profile includes Design of highways, freeways, drainage design, traffic control, pavement marking and signing and associated facilities as well as cost estimating, and preliminary engineering design of these facilities. Responsibility included Traffic Simulation using VISSIM and TransCAD Modeling for creating networks and analysis.
US 80 at Town East Blvd., TX DOT Dallas District, Mesquite
Project involves the reconstruction of the Town East Blvd. overpass and interchange including eastbound frontage road, Samuell Blvd., and associated access roads. Responsible for Horizontal and Vertical Design, Cross-Sections and Cost Estimation. The project area is tightly constrained which requires complex geometric design on the connecting roadways between the eastbound frontage road and adjacent surface streets. Design work was accomplished utilizing MicroStation and GEOPAK.
US 82/UPRR [at] Ringgold
Project involves Reconstruction of a 2-lane roadway to a 4-lane divided roadway. Responsible for Schematic design of 1.5 miles of roadway, roadway geometric design, erosion control, traffic control plans and cost estimation. Design work was accomplished utilizing MicroStation and GEOPAK.
FM 209/701 Culvert Replacement
Responsible for design of culverts by replacing or extending according to TX DOT standards, repairing bridge railings, guardrail determination and providing traffic control plans.
FM 1709, City of Southlake
Responsible for designing acceleration and deceleration lanes for 16 intersections along FM 1709. Design also included the relocation of exiting utilities and traffic signals. Design work involved the use of MicroStation, GEOPAK.
FM 368, Wichita Falls
Responsible for horizontal and vertical alignments for baseline (C&G), drainage areas, storm sewer design, pavement markings, traffic control, signing, SW3P, guardrail determination, flexible pavement design, and topographical survey. Design work involved the use of MicroStation, GEOPAK.
North Tarrant Expressway
Developed a VISSIM network for the present project and simulated the network with signal timings, traffic volume and other parameters. Responsible for Critical Link analysis, Sub area network analysis (NCTCOG model) for AM, PM and off peak periods, Review and validation of origin destination study, O-D and Socioeconomic data model adjustment, and Toll sensitivity analysis (various rates for 2012, 2025 and 2030)
Montana Avenue Traffic Model
Worked on developing the network, trip generation, trip distribution and traffic assignment. Responsible for preparing the schematic of the corridor with fixed and free traffic volumes showing ramp gantries for tolled roadway network. Worked on toll sensitivity analysis for 2015 and 2035 years.

Project involves Rehabilitation of Trenton Morrisville Toll Bridge, reconstruction of existing 2-lane and 4-lane roads, widening roadway as required according to Design standards and providing ramp access to local streets. Responsible for Roadway design according to NJDOT and PENNDOT standards, drainage design, Cost estimation, preparing summary sheets for the project and traffic control plans. Design work was accomplished utilizing Microstation and INROADS.
New Jersey Turnpike - Preliminary Engineering and Environmental Services for Interchange 6 to 8A
Project involves adding outer lanes (Service Road) for 14 miles section and proposing 3 interchanges for New Jersey Turnpike. Responsible for horizontal and vertical designing of roadway and ramps according to the NJTA and NJDOT standards, connecting from main line to the service areas 6N & 6S, drainage design and cost estimation for the project by phase.
Proposed Interchange at US 22 and Chimney Rock Road
Project involves a Proposed interchange connecting the Chimney Rock Road, a local collector with US 22. This interchange provides an easy access for both US 22 East and West bounds with the Chimney Rock Road and nearby driveways. Responsible for Horizontal and Vertical design, cross-sections, drainage design, preparing construction and traffic control plans, cost estimation and construction schedule using Primavera (P3) and report writing. Design work was accomplished utilizing Microstation and INROADS.

The project deals with developing management practices that promote safety and mobility in nighttime and daytime work zones and to develop work-zone crash reporting recommendations for further improvement.
