PROJECT LIST
• Supervised a $1,000,000 restoration of a historic ocean side mansion in Nahant, that involved, a seawall restoration project, the replacement of all the windows, rebuilding a limestone portico entry, installation of 130 ft. of custom wrought iron railings incorporating salvaged cast iron medallions, and 100 ft. of custom PVC and glass wind screen fencing, new roofs, restoration of many stained glass windows, kitchen renovation, refinish floors and paint throughout.
• Project involved the ground up construction of a new $6,000,000 ultra contemporary home perched on top of a steep ledge, featuring one of the first Titanium roofing and siding projects, along with sandstone and granite veneer stainless steel and glass balustrades, canopies, and pergola. A glass floored bridge spanned a gallery to tie two parts of the house together, European cabinets and tilt turn windows and doors. Italian marble floors of multiple species with bronze Chinese character inlays.
• $3,000,000 renovation and addition to 8000sf. beach front, Manchester-by-the-sea home. Included in the scope was a new septic system, new heating systems throughout, new electric system, new custom kitchen, master suite, bath and dressing room, new guest suite and bath, roof and paint. This was all done while maintaining owner occupancy.
• Supervised a $2,500,000 renovation of a house that was originally a barn into a seaside summer home. This project involved shoring up the structure to pour a new foundation, and raise the elevation of the building. The house was gutted to receive new heating, plumbing and electrical systems, foam insulation, custom bird’s eye maple kitchen, millwork and casework, new custom windows and doors, new roofing and cedar siding.
• The $8,000,000 restoration of 10,000sf. 100 year old brick mansion in Manchester-by-the-sea. Scope included rebuilding two wings that were torn down in the 1940’s. New heating systems, electrical system, new slate roofs, repoint all brick and stonework. Replace all windows, new kitchen, new master bedroom suite and bath. Remodel ten existing baths with new and restored fixtures and hardware, new pool and new 100ft. long ocean dock.
• The ground up construction of $9,000,000 new custom contemporary of 12,000sf. This house was dubbed the “Carpenters Dream†for it was made primarily of Honduran mahogany and featured custom mahogany windows, doors, columns, and panels and exposed profiled mahogany rafter tails. The architecture was a meld of Asian and Craftsman influences that incorporated curved glass elevations and undulating roof lines. The interior millwork was done in European pearwood and also featured a freeform curved stair with ornamental steel carriage and walnut treads and rails.
• Supervised a shop of 16 millworkers, carpenters and painters for a U. S. Federal Agency project that involved the fabrication of thousands of lineal feet of curved laminated wooden park benches, and assisted in onsite layout and installation at the Jacob Javitz Federal building in New York City.
• Built the Bostix ticket booth, a prefabricated 12 sided mahogany building with a copper conical roof and a four foot radius cove mold soffit in the shop, disassembled, delivered and reassembled on site, in Boston at the corner of Boylston and Dartmouth streets.
• Designed, fabricated and installed several custom curved, elliptical, and freeform staircases in clients’ homes as well as several custom curved bookcases, one of which pivoted to open up to a “safe roomâ€.
