I would like to apply for the position of Superintendent / Project Manager. I take great pride in my work and expect the same out of others. I care about my work and take ownership of my job. I am a trouble shooter and a problem solver. I am proactive I don't just wait and hope that nobody "sees it". I am analytical and articulate. If I don’t know, I will learn. I would be an asset in whatever position that I was assigned. I am flexible and adaptable to the changing situation. I can be part of a team or work alone in the field. I can work with anyone. I have trained many employees to gain promotions and to enhance their careers. I can and I have worked with labors, subs, owners, architects, and officials. I enjoy a challenge and a job well done. I have done both production and custom work. My projects have ranged from $10K to $60M. I have managed multiple jobs at the same time. I have taken jobs from the ground up and closed out jobs. I have run a $5M job as the construction manager / superintendent, from permit to CO. I have managed over 20 employees and had subs on jobs with over 100 workers on site. I would like a chance to grow with a company that respects and rewards integrity, ethics and loyalty.
I look forward to discussing this opportunity with you.
Thank you,
Lane Pennington

Jameson Construction - Superintendent / Construction Manager
June 1993 - March 2007
My job responsibility varied from job to job. I did everything from pre-planning and estimating to final closeout of the job. I ensured jobsite safety. I called in for inspections and walked through with the inspectors to ensure passage of the inspections. I also ran the on-site crew, when we had one. I read and interpreted the blueprints and made changes or submitted RFIs as needed. I have done layouts, set corners, set walls, set doors, ceiling layout, metal and wood framing, drywall, ceiling grid, concrete, telephone key systems, material take-off lists, punch-out lists and anything and everything in between. We have built houses, church, private school, done all types of repair and remodel, room additions and tenant fit-out, both residential and commercial. I have worked with almost all phases of construction. I have operated backhoes, loaders, bobcats, and most equipment. I also speak, read and write Spanish and I enjoy working with different people. I understand the trades and if I don't, I can learn very quickly. I love a challenge and the satisfaction of a job done well. I take classes to improve my knowledge and to improve my ability to perform my job.
