PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Field Operations Manager, Edgewood Development Group, Inc., Perry, GA
I manage all phases of the development and construction of multi-family, Epcon designed townhomes and condominiums. I am currently managing a 27 building, 108 unit project in Warner Robins, GA and a 25 building, 100 unit project in Augusta, GA (have completed a combined 2 clubhouses and 11 buildings, 44 units).
I have completed site development, including complex soils engineering, and all subcontractor recruitment for a 22 building, 88 unit project in Fayetteville, NC.
I have also completed an 11 building, 44 unit Epcon designed, $16 million, high-end townhome community known as Hopeton Village at Great Waters, Reynolds Plantation, Lake Oconee, GA.
~ performed extensive site development and completed all vertical construction in just 13 months.
~ saved over $165K in development cost by lowering overall site 11”, thereby balancing the site and eliminating the need for additional soils.
~ my current employers would exclaim that I save time and money on each project through careful planning and effective management of subcontractors and vendors.
August, 2004 – July, 2005
Construction Manager, Harvest Active Adult Communities, LLC, Marietta, GA
I managed all phases of the vertical construction of The Village of Ashwood, a 86-unit, Epcon designed, $15 million, single and two-story condominium adult retirement community in Chattanooga, TN. While there, I directly supervised one Assistant Construction Manager and one jobsite Superintendent.
~ replaced original project manager and performed extensive rework and repairs of previously constructed units resulting in restoring the confidence of existing homeowners.
~ properly and beautifully completed remaining 10 buildings, 33 units, in just 9 months which allowed this developer to meet his new homeowners’ closing dates in this sold-out community.
December, 2003 – August, 2004
Self Employed, General Contractor, Macon, GA
I built 7 luxury townhomes for a local builder in a planned, high-end community in north Macon known as Providence.
~ through better planning and organizing, I got this busy builder back on schedule and able to meet his customers’ closing dates on these expensive homes.
February, 2003 – November, 2003
Project Manager, Double Eagle Associates, LLC, Macon, GA
I co-managed all phases of the vertical construction of the first phase of The Gables at Wolf Creek, a 73 unit, $10 million adult retirement apartment community. I also managed the construction of three custom single family homes and the complete remodeling of one existing single family home.
November, 2001 – December, 2002
Installed Sales Manager, Warner Robins Supply, Macon, GA
I established a previously non-existent Installed Sales Program (ISP) of Installed Insulation, Installed Windows & Doors, and Home Repairs. I hired, trained, supervised, and scheduled a staff of five full-time installers, one part-time installer, and various subcontractors needed to install ISP products. I also performed all measuring, estimating, quoting, invoicing, and collecting monies for all Installed Sales Jobs, as well as all profit & loss responsibility, inventory management, customer service, and the coordination of the efforts of three builders’ sales representatives and one inside sales representative to identify, capture, and maintain ISP market share.
~ my efforts resulted in establishing a brand new business that in its first year earned status as a highly reputable vendor in the ‘install it for me’ market throughout middle Georgia.
August, 1999 – September, 2001
Construction Superintendent, America’s Home Place, Inc., Macon GA
I managed all phases of the construction of at least 50 new homes for this semi-custom, scattered lot residential builder within a 50 mile radius of Macon, GA. I also managed the company’s warranty program.
~ received formal training in all areas of residential Construction Management, with particular emphasis on project planning, task management, work scheduling, and subcontractor sequencing.
~ received formal training in the personality selling technique known as ‘Bulls, Owls, Lambs and Tigers’, enhancing my ability to interact effectively with different people.
~ I also filled-in as a Building Consultant and sold 8 homes.
