I am very experienced with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures and rely on my extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals. I perform a variety of tasks and exercise a wide degree of creativity and latitude throughout project and typically report to a project manager or vice president of construction. I travel for the firm as needed and cover the state of Florida. Projects range from big box, retail, hospitality, etc. I maintain the company safety policy and implement additional plans as needed. Once I am handed a budget, set of plans and LOI’s, I am expected to perform the work on time and on budget or better, and I do. In this position I successfully managed the largest project Hawkins Construction had undertaken to date (see project list for details) which was spread out over a 125 acre site. Additionally, one of my notable achievements was to be brought in to a project in Cape Coral, Florida which was already four months underway to manage it when the current superintendent had to leave due to family considerations. I really had to 'hit the ground running' on this one and commit an extraordinary time and effort commitment to make this one a success. It turned out to be a notable success for the Owners and Hawkins Construction and one of the most profitable projects of the year. During this project we developed relationships in the Cape Coral market and with the developer which stand in good stead today.
