IMPLEMENTED PROJECT MANAGEMENT: As Director of Production for The Evans Group, during the boom for multi-family residential design, I organized a production staff of 19 into self-sustaining teams, each having a hierarchy of responsibility. By charting staff utilization/production duration matrixes for as many as 120 projects on-the-boards at one time, and by establishing project status reporting, conducting project management meetings, and promoting QA/QC initiatives, I contributed to the firm’s unparalleled profits.
IMPROVED CLIENT RELATIONS: As Vice President / Director Fort Myers for HADP Architecture, Inc, I helped contain cost escalation and occupancy delays at a new automobile dealership, a new school bus maintenance facility, and student housing projects at Florida Gulf Coast University. Clients are delighted with results, and the professionalism of services rendered.
SUSTAINED BRANCH OFFICE VIABILITY: Recruited by RLB+A Architects, as Regional Principal, to re-start a branch office in Naples, I cultivated relationships with existing and found retail clientele by identifying programmatic objectives of developers, and optimizing design efficiencies. During my tenure I was Architect-of-Record for shopping centers, office buildings, and commercial tenant fit-ups.
ACQUIRED EXPERTISE: I am proficient at simplifying complex issues with demanding objectives, and implementing solutions under tight deadlines. I use hands-on, shirt-sleeve approaches to problem solving. I nurture interpersonal relationships with client stakeholders, focus groups, consultants, review agencies, and contractors. I have exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, and I’m computer literate. I evidence command of MS Office applications, Masterspec, and Autocad.
