Past Project Responsibilities:
Senior Project Manager:
I was responsible for managing large commercial projects. This would include all purchasing of materials to include fixtures, switchgear and all other miscellaneous construction materials required for that project. My responsibilities would include the tracking of all major material purchases and cost management. All labor included in the bid would be reviewed with the Project Superintendent. He would be required to review and commit to the support of those labor units. All subcontractor bids would be reviewed to confirm their scope was complete and included all the required labor and materials per plans and specs. Changes to the work would be estimated and any modifications to the materials required would be purchased upon release by change order. Most projects would ask for and we could provide cost savings measures, value engineering, to assist in keeping the owners costs as reasonable as possible. All projects would be managed from start to finish including the final start up and commissioning of all systems. Project close out would include all O&M documents as well as final job status and review.
MEP Coordinator:
As MEP Coordinator I was charged with management of all MEP Subcontractors to confirm their scope of work was complete and included the intent of the plans and specs. Any adjustments were made prior to the start of work so as to not impact the schedule and layout of other subs. A major portion of the responsibility was to manage the layout and confirmation from all MEP subs that their work would fit within the spaces provided. CADD layouts would be developed showing the positioning of all materials and systems so that the installation could proceed without any conflicts. During the construction phases, all changes to the various scopes of work would be reviewed for adjusted quantities and costs for materials and labor. Commissioning of systems would require managing the schedules of all subs work and assuring the completion of all systems to be coordinated with the planned commissioning and operational testing for turn over to the owner.
