DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare HVAC piping & plumbing take-offs using MCM estimating system.
Maintain and update estimating program (labor hours, price and material discounts).
Review bid documents, forms, specifications, Basis of Design and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Solicit subcontractor bids and vendor quotes.
Assemble estimating spreadsheets.
Price and develop change orders.
Estimate small to medium sized projects independently.
Coordinate bid with project managers and subcontractors.
Scope assistance and development (Manager of pre-construction.)
Review the scopes of subcontractors and vendors.
Maintain bid list.
Receive, track, and distribute amendments and addenda.
Update specifications and drawings as needed. (Keep vendors and subcontractors advised of all changes).
Distribute bid documents, plans, and specifications.
Maintain base bid documents and organize estimate information.
Award work to subcontractors and vendors once projects have been secured
