Fifteen years of progressive engineering experience developing preliminary and final engineering drawings for civil site work and utility projects, site layouts, and providing quantity takeoff computations. Responsibilities include serving as the primary client point of contact for project specific information, design team coordination, and project management. • Modeled a complex series of Low Impact Development (LID) storm water management systems in the urban core using KCAPWA Best Management Practices, saving the client $1 million in development fees.
• Successfully negotiated a sanitary sewer rehabilitation project and devised a solution minimizing manhole and pipe replacement, saving the city $100,000 in construction and easement acquisition costs.
Principle Engineer, Lovelace & Associates, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, 2006 – 2009
Managed a small engineering department and served as the Responsible Engineer-In-Charge for projects as well as the main point of contact and the design coordinator. Additional duties included fostering relationships with existing and potential clientele, project management and invoicing, and marketing. Highlights include:
• Negotiated a $250,000 contract to develop a 380 lot subdivision and supervised overall project design.
• Developed engineering drafting standards, providing project time savings with standardized procedures.
Assistant Director Engineering Group, Aylett Flowers, Gladstone, Missouri, 2002 – 2006
Managed small engineering teams and served as the Responsible Engineer-In-Charge for projects as well as the main project point of contact and the design coordinator. Highlights include:
• Designed drainage control network using state of the art Low Impact Development (LID) techniques, reducing runoff and improving water quality. This saved the client $50,000 in construction costs.
Project Engineer, Berger Devine Yaeger, Inc. Blue Springs, Missouri, 2000 – 2002
Managed small engineering teams and served as the Responsible Engineer-In-Charge for projects as well as the main project point of contact and the design coordinator. Highlights include:
• Balanced cut and fills for parking lot and building expansion situated on a steep grade using a phased approach, netting a cost savings of $100,000 for the client in earthwork and construction costs.
Assistant Project Manager, URS, Overland Park, Kansas, 1994 - 2000
Responsibilities included technical oversight, preparation of reports, preparation of operation and maintenance plans, and environmental field surveys for Resources Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) site remedial efforts. Provided Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) support and inspected sites for asbestos and lead based paint.

• Familiar with Microstation V8 and GeoPak.
