Also installing Redbox DVD rental stations (roughing-in for power and connecting units) as well as Blueboxes, Blockbuster Video’s version. This was a temporary contract for the mid-Atlantic region and was recently completed in February 2010.

The renovation projects required hiring and managing of contractors and sub-contractors, scheduling, enforcing deadlines, marketing the completed projects, and working with buyers during the sale process. Customer/Client service skills were required, as well as sales skill. Also, as a result of being an electrician, I was responsible for all the electrical remodeling of every renovation project. This includes safety inspections or demolition of existing wiring, fishing walls to provide new circuits in existing buildings, and replacing service panels to meet newer code requirements. Repaired and maintained outside telephone plant including copper-fed digital carrier systems (SLC 96 & Series 5), fiber optic-fed carrier systems (Lightspans, DDM 2000's (multiplexers)), digital end-user loops (ISDN, T-1, & DSL) and pressurized cable (air dryers & compressors, pipe panels, transducers, manifolds, alarm and monitoring systems), worked on bulk defective pair recovery, predictor packages (pre-service effecting trouble repair), section cuts and cable replacement, and also repaired buried cable plant (digs), as well as some limited experience with fiber optic fusion splicing.

I also worked on the new construction of a federal penitentiary expansion project in Hopewell, VA.
