• Hired as a service technician in December 1997at CEI West Roofing, worked my
way up through the ranks as a Service Technician, Estimator, Flat Crew Roofer,
On- Site Project Manager and promoted to Project Engineer in 2001. Resigned
from CEI in 2002 and returned to CEI in 2007
• Instrumental in converting all shop drawing production from hand drawings to
Auto- Cad format.
• Prepared all sheet metal/roofing shop drawings, submittals, foreman’s manuals and
MSDS books for all projects awarded. Including such projects as Invesco Field at
Mile High, Pepsi Center, Volunteers of America, American Family Insurance, and
Meridian One.
• Maintain and update product data library and MSDS for all projects.
• Review project estimates for compliance with contracts awarded.
• Indentify deficiencies and or concerns with plans and specifications.

• Prepare correspondence to general contractors and architects following
standard protocol and identify problematic details and specifications.

• Review architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing
plans and specifications for compliance with manufacturer’s varying
warranty requirements. Prepare modified details and transmit to the
manufacturer for review and approval.
• Prepare detailed estimates for all types of roof systems utilizing excel to
prepare itemized bids.
• Indentify problematic details in the field and prepare concise hand
sketches to be transmitted to the general contractor, architect, manufacturer and
main office.
• Calculated ballast and fastening rates of insulation for various roof systems based
on specifications, code and manufacturer requirements.
• Design and install full taper expanded polystyrene an polyisocyanurate insulation
systems.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings based on building design concepts, zoning,
planning and building code requirements for custom homes and light commercial
building projects.
• Calculate building envelope space requirements based on property lot size, zoning
requirements, required setbacks, easements, bulk plane, requirements, fire
departments access, driveway and required parking.
• Prepared design development drawing based on the owners conceptual design and
implement requirements as outlined above.
• Prepare site development drawings and calculate site data including
open space, building area, landscape area, parking area and driveway
areas.
• Prepare conceptual design drawing of proposed floor plans and
research exiting requirements based on square footage and
arrangement of all exits in relation to the current building code.
• Prepare preliminary floor plans and elevations for owners review based on
conceptual designs as outlined above.
• Calculate existing and proposed finish grade and add to site drawings.
• Complete all architectural working drawings (site plans, floor plans, elevations,
building cross sections, large scale details, door and window schedules)
• Coordinate structural engineering plans and details for compatibility with
architectural drawings.
Detailed Field Work Experience:
• Install various types of mechanically attached, fully adhered and ballasted roofs,
primarily TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified and BUR roofing systems.
• Installed details per manufacturers requirements, including drains, scuppers, pitch
pans, pipe flashing, pipe boots, curb flashings and terminations.
• Oversee removal of existing roofing materials, equipment, ductwork, decking,
sheathing, nailers, metal flashings, curbs including asbestos abatement.
• Installed mechanically attached insulation systems using various fastener types and
lengths.
• Installed fully adhered insulation utilizing isocyanurate spray foam, hot asphalt and
cold adhesives of various types using large scale machinery, respirators and
personal protection attire.
• Oversee installation of insulation systems including full tapered and
crickets of various types using plans and specifications prepared by
others.
• Communicated with crane operator and ground crew with the use of hand signals
and radios.
• Performed and instructed crew to perform general housekeeping duties,
clean and maintain tools and equipment.
• Set up flagging, safety lines, barricades, fall protection and trash chutes.
• Communicated with general contractors and project manager.
• Address production, weather and safety concerns on a daily basis.
• Set up and operated walking welder, performed and documented pull test on
material used.
• Instrumental in setting-up ramps and organizing tear-off removal procedures in
order to increase speed of debris removal.
• Remove and install wood fascias, soffits, window trim, and numerous types of
metal flashings.
• Inspect and initiate repairs to asphalt roof systems including triple laminated
presidential series systems in order for these systems to pass inspection.
• Operate sheet metal break and fabricate cladding / flashing shapes.
• Performed leak, service and maintenance repairs on all types of roof systems.
• Document hours of work performed and materials used by myself and others.
• Take before and after photos of work performed, fill out work orders outlining
problems encountered and measures taken to resolve problems and maintenance
repairs.
• Implement and follow fall protection and safety procedures to create and maintain a safe work environment.
• Install curb flashing , drip edges, cap flashing, wall flashings seal duct penetrations,
pipe penetrations and perform tie-ins on new and existing buildings.
• Stock and maintain materials and tools on service truck required to perform service
of varying roof systems.
• Oversee and set-up of scaffolding and ladders in order to promote safety and
minimize inconvenience to the customers.
• Organize and clean service repair vehicle in a professional manner.
• Communicate with contractor, building owners, and tenants to identify work to be
performed, time which work shall be completed
• Identify and document problems with all issues pertaining to the work and or
scheduling of work to be performed.
