A highly motivated, results-driven operations professional with exceptional success in construction management. Managed small to major projects from concept through implementation. Demonstrated success in strategic planning, problem solving and implementing solutions to challenging and complex projects. Managed construction budgets from $500K to $52M.
Defined goals and objectives, developed budgets, managed and administered projects, hired and managed diverse teams including strong mentoring, building consensus and improving working relationships to achieve positive results. Recognized for leadership skills, interacting with inspectors and government officials and for the ability to establish strategies for business integration for domestic and international projects. Instrumental in marketing an alternative utility system in Eastern Europe and North Africa.
Earned a strong reputation for the ability to meet with prospective clients in a consulting / design capacity, establishing scope of work, estimating job costs, contract negotiations, material purchasing, customer / vendor relationships, permit documentation, walk-through, close-out and warranty work completion. Highly skilled in large scale projects using civil and structural technologies for the airport authority, construction of self-storage facilities, development of remediation solutions and constructing concrete buildings and precast structures for highway departments.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
• Partnered with a group of investors to market an alternative utility system to foreign governments and local utility suppliers in Eastern Europe and North Africa. Secured a letter of intent from the Moroccan government to build plants in Casablanca and Fezz after the system was R&D with funding of $1.9M.
• Provided the New Mexico Highway Department with drawings for precast inlets for highway construction to eliminate the costly method of pouring them on-site. Forecast savings was 20% per unit and an annual increase in available funding of $380K.
• Responsible for increasing profits for the Albuquerque concrete plant by 8% for the new precast inlet product and added six new employees.
• Identified that a developmental cost for business overseas was to provide topographical maps for potential plant sites. Cost estimates were approximately $550K. Analyzed the problem and asked the University of New Mexico if their Biotech Communication Department could prepare all site mapping as a class project. They were able to perform the task for a contribution of $25K.

(Key Achievements Cont’d.)
• Opened a new ready mix concrete plant in Louisville, Colorado. Secured a contract for a paving project in Denver on Alameda Avenue from Federal Boulevard to Sheridan.
• Consulted with an investor who owned a decorative concrete tile facility. The owner had various issues with the concrete tile including structural integrity and aesthetic. Redesigned the properties of the cement and utilized newly developed add mixtures to improve the tile strength and accommodate a wide color spectrum. Sales increased dramatically and hired more employees to keep up with the orders.
• Started my own company in the concrete industry. Established lines of credit and accounts were opened on net 30 days. With investments, credit and employees, the company was thriving. Company profit was 18% and annual business escalated from $260K to $1.1M.
• Developed a business plan for marketing the alternative utility system overseas. Labor for construction of the facility became a major concern in relation to profits. Moroccan and European workers were estimated at $60US/day/man. This posted plant profits at approximately $7.2M and project profits to stockholders and investors were $11.1M. Investigated the situation and found that Afganistan labor was $9US/day/man, which would provide the needed profits for investors and stockholders of $11.1M.
• Managed commercial and residential projects. Responsible for structural issues, start-up and punch-out, blue print take-off for bids and estimates, hiring, troubleshooting, scheduling and purchasing materials.
• Supervised fuel and ozone remediation, above and below ground tank systems including installations and demolition.
• Responsible for marketing and sales for a new division to include commercial and residential ground-up developments throughout Northern California.
• Led the Vertical Concrete construction for the Daniel Richie Wellness Center project at the University of Denver including layout and elevations, scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, architects and engineers, as well as supervising all labor.
