We achieved renegotiating contracts with all contractors in order to complete the project in difficult economic times. Project came in thirty days ahead of schedule and under budget. All construction management was onsite with Landry’s Inc. acting as the General Contractor.
Jan. 2007-May 2007: The Seminole Indian Tribe – Director of Construction

• Overall budgeting for all Hard Rock Hotel and Casino acquisitions made by The Seminole Indian Tribe

several years. During this time frame I handled all onsite construction management which included budget development contractor selection and direct contact with governing authorities. The remodel and expansion of the Desert Inn by Sheraton ITT was a huge undertaking in a short amount of time. In a little more than eighteen months the St. Andrews Tower, Race and Sports Book, Gaming floor and three – 4 star restaurants were remodeled. In addition the demolition and rebuilding of the Club House for the Golf Course were included. Clark and Sullivan self performed all concrete, steel and framing work, subcontracted out all specialty work. Construction costs exceeded 75 million dollars. Upon completion of the project – ITT Sheraton presented me with a life time membership to the Golf Course while under their management.

I went through some family issues and made a decision to move back to Ft Collins to be closer to my family. During this time frame I went to work for a long time friend and assisted him in running his local construction company. I took on the management of all self performed forces including concrete, framing and finish construction.

During the first initial influx of Wal-Mart Stores/Sam’s Clubs development nationwide, I became the Director of New Stores for the Western Region (west from Michigan, including Hawaii and Alaska). Long before construction management software and programs were in place this meant complete responsibility of all aspects of construction including divisional budgets, staffing and forecasting. Responsible for the management of the design, development and construction teams (excess of 1 billion dollars/42 million square feet/per year). I was originally hired as a Construction Manager for the Distribution Centers. I completed two centers each over 1.2 million SF/65 million dollars each ahead of schedule by thirty three days and 2 million dollars under budget. I was promoted to the New Store program as a Construction Manager and accountable for construction within the Midwest (7.2 million SF/200 million dollars per year). Promoted again to Director of Construction for the Western Region.
• Distribution Centers were the first OCIP’s in the country
• Only team member promoted at that time frame from Distribution Center Program to New Store and then Director.
