Over the past 25 years, I have developed extensive knowledge and contacts in the field of concrete restoration and building science. These contacts include but are not limited to, DOT’s, utilities, industrial, Corp of Engineers, institutional, engineers, architects, contractors, and the private sector. My experience covers all facets of concrete and building repair relating to, corrosion, concrete repair, seismic retrofitting, external reinforcement, traffic bearing membranes, waterproofing, coatings, injection, etc.
In my career, I started out selling repair materials, masonry cleaners, and sealers for a local distributor. From there I went on to work 16 years for Sika Corporation, consulting on all types of restoration product. It was in this capacity, that I started the epoxy broadcast overlay business with the DOT markets. I then, entered into the seismic retrofit market as well as external reinforcement. Some additional duties included a District Manager position as well as running the technical training schools in Ohio.
I then filled a position as Area Manager for Sto Corp., and for the next 7 years learned more about coatings and building science. While in this position, I developed a new product and system for the esthetic enhancement of bridges. Called Lightweight Structural Composite Panels (LSCP), they are designed to compete with precast panels on bridges. Since leaving Sto Corp., I have been calling on the DOT and private sector as a consultant for repair and protection of concrete structures.
