I have design experience in commercial and multi-family residential projects and in construction management. Also on the development of construction plans.
My professional experience includes design and management and development of projects totaling over 656 units of residential and mixed-use development; ranging in sizes from .5 acres to 200 acres. Project scopes have included master planning, design and construction management. I have been the Project Manager of over 1,490 residential units. Projects started with the breaking ground on the lots and finished with the final walk thru the property. Projects ranged in size from 600 sf condos to 5,000 sf houses and condos from subdivisions for lower income customers to very high end finishes. I have designed and budgeted projects totaling over 140 private residential and commercial units, both in traditional construction techniques (concrete) and new techniques (bamboo). I have also designed small commercial projects totaling over 600 storage units, construction technique metal framing. I have experience on the development of construction plans on 21.500 sf on warehouses, and 70.000 sf on educational projects.

Trinity River Pump Stations Corridor, Dallas, Texas.
Team Architect for architectural programming and architectural design documents and production for this collection of five buildings on the Trinity River are designed to accommodate the pumping equipment that will improve the flood relief for the downtown district.. This project include a total of 22.600 sf of design building, divided between 5.400 sf on Charlie¡¦s building, 5.400 sf on Trinity¡¦s building, 6.500 sf on New Hampton¡¦s building 4.300 sq ft on Old New Hampton¡¦s building renovation and 1.000 sf on Delta¡¦s building renovation; each of these designed to meet the special requirements of technical specifications. Anticipated construction cost of $100.000.000 dollars.
Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) Denton, Texas.
Team Architect for architectural/Engineering provides services for a new 25 mile light rail transit line from Downtown Denton to North Dallas. The scope included 25 miles of new passenger train track and 5 new stations. Each station has 3 covered structures that will provide waiting areas for commuters and 2 accessible ramps with individual covered structures to match station. Identifying names are Hebron Station, Old Town Station, Med Park Station, Highland Village/Lewisville Lake Station and Downtown Denton Station. The site improvements include a new park and ride facility and landscaping around the new station platforms. Platform designs took into account the latest safety codes for maximum pedestrian flow for both ease of use and patron comfort. Anticipated construction cost of $319.000.000 dollars.

Mercado Delta, Edcouch, Texas (McAllen)
Team Architect for 13,700 sf regional farmers market/ retail and community center on 12 acre site for Delta Region Revitalization Corporation. The program focuses on the creation of a business incubator for local farmers and merchants as well as an integrated marketplace for the surrounding communities. An open air farmers market accommodates 18 truck berths. The master plan includes over a dozen shops of 1,000 sf each and up to 150 outdoor vendor spaces. The outdoor vendor area, farmers market, and shops surround a central plaza, which recalls village townscapes often found in Hispanic tradition. The architectural character incorporates Texas and Mexican regional elements that draw from both sides of the border community. Porches, arbors, canopies, and palm trees, and a meandering creek line the landscape to provide an oasis to the harsh climate of South Texas. Estimated completion of construction: November 2008.
TDCJ Pack and Luther Units food service facilities renovation in Navasota, Texas.
Team Architect for the refurbishment of the 15,000 sf cafeteria at each unit. Existing food service equipment will be replaced and new equipment will be added, including walk-in coolers and freezers, dishwashers, ice machines, ovens, vent hoods, and hot wells. An additional 900 sf of storage space will be added by erecting mezzanines.
New wall construction is required, including enclosing overhead areas above vent hoods to improve security. New antimicrobial flooring will be applied as well as other surface finishes. Accessible routes and seating will be modified to meet ADA guidelines. Lighting will be improved. Existing HVAC & R equipment will be upgraded to improve ventilation and heating. Includes exhaust fans, tempered make-up air units, and refrigeration units. Piping systems include steam, condensate return, hot and cold water, sanitary sewer, and natural gas.
Public Square Buildings and Main Instructional Building 600, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI), Austin, and Texas.
Team Architect for architectural programming and architectural design documents production for this collection of four buildings on the TSBVI Campus. These include a 70,000 sf main instructional building, a 9,000 sf natatorium, a 10,000 sf kitchen / dining building, 15,000 sf fine arts / auditorium building, and 15,000 sf student activity center building. Each of these is designed to meet the special requirements of teaching, learning and supporting the community life of a residential population of blind students. These buildings are being designed in 2007 & early 2008 for and anticipated construction cost of $31,000,000 dollars.
Morgan - Grapevine Building Renovation
Team architect, Assisted in the design of the renovation of an existing 4,810 square foot building. Conversion of an existing building from a day care center building to office space and Art Gallery. Redesigned the building facades and added public restrooms.
Creation of a new a terrace for the gallery entertainment area. Reworked the site and added parking for the building, designing and working around to keep mature existing trees.
Raytheon
Team architect, Assisted in the renovation of an existing office building a total of 7,310 square feet remodeling. The job includes the mechanical upgrades of the offices, the location of new walls, the creation of new conference rooms, the change of ceilings, new doors and wall details.
I also provided construction estimating for commercial projects for Stone Tec in Dallas, Texas, including the Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Presbyterian hospital acute care expansion, Ritz Carlton II phase, Museum Tower, Glass house, and Hunt oil Corporation Building.
