Serve as a lead design engineer; manage budgets & schedules; team up with other design engineers, mentor staff engineers and perform QA/QC for several projects in MS and LA.
HYDROLOGY/HYDRAULICS & ROADWAY
• Byram Clinton Corridor, Byram, MS: Performed the hydrologic and hydraulic analysis including the design of storm drain systems, catch basins, cross drains & culverts, grading & drainage plans, median and intersection geometric, construction documents & engineer’s cost estimates for a 9.0 mile multi-lane arterial roadway in Byram community at Interstate-55 in the southern portion of Jackson Metropolitan area. Also conducted field and utility surveys for preparing the conceptual plans & preliminary design plans for plan-in-hand inspection.
• Roadway improvements & Drainage studies, City of Biloxi, MS: Performed the storm drain analysis of the existing systems, proposed new storm sewer systems to accommodate the developed flows, proposed new grades for the existing streets, prepared traffic control plans & striping details, contract documents and technical specifications for 6.4 miles of roadway and approximately 21,000 linear feet of storm drain within the City of Biloxi.
• Citgo Steam Trench Drainage Analysis, Lake Charles, LA: Developed an engineering proposal and performed a storm water analysis for the existing trapezoidal steam trench channel and its ability to convey the storm water via existing storm water collection systems using HEC-RAS and FlowMaster Programs.
• USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services: Performed dam breach analysis and prepared inundation maps for eight flood water retarding structures in the State of Mississippi using HEC-RAS & HEC-GEORAS.
• Sewerage & Water Board, New Orleans, LA: Designed a replacement sanitary sewer pump station affected by hurricane Katrina. Prepared all preliminary & final design specifications, quantity take off, bidding and construction administration for Village De Lest Sewerage Lift station.
• 11th Street Roadway & Drainage improvements, Jefferson parish, LA: Prepared plans for the reconstruction of approximately 1 mile roadway and redesign of storm drain systems and reshaping existing ditches with acceptable side-slopes within available right of way.
• Camp Street, Homedale Street, Center street & Milne Blvd Roadway and Drainage Improvements, New Orleans, LA: Proposed the new horizontal & vertical curves, performed the hydrologic analysis associated with the existing conditions for the design of storm water conveyance systems for a 2-lane undivided roadway of approximately 9,500 linear feet. The proposed improvements consist of new pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk and replacement of water and sanitary sewer lines.
• North Mall Drive Roadway improvements, City of Alexandria, LA: Roadway widening of an existing three-lane 8” thick PCCP curb and gutter roadway with subsurface drainage to a five-lane roadway and traffic signalization improvements.
Project Engineer, Wilson & Company, Rio Rancho, NM (Feb 2005 – Dec 2008)
Serve as a design engineer and task manager; perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, roadway design; prepare construction plans, contract documents, grading & drainage plans, drainage reports, earth work volumes and engineer’s estimates for several projects in Albuquerque and central New Mexico.
LAND DEVELOPMENT
Rancho Ceilo at Belen, NM: Performed the hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for the master drainage study of Rancho Ceilo, a 6,000 acre property located on a 5.5-mile stretch between Belen and Los Lunas, New Mexico. The master plan demonstrated all impacts to the City of Belen concerning drainage, transportation, water usage, and sanitary sewer. In conjunction with the planners, assisted in developing a master plan document showing required infrastructure. The plan consists of the necessary components required to analyze and develop the backbone infrastructure for the area based on land uses and densities.
• The Trails of Westside Albuquerque: Designed and prepared the final grading & drainage plans, construction documents, drainage reports, earthwork volumes, engineer’s estimates for Santa Fe II, Santa Fe III, Estados II, and Valle Vista, and various other single family residential subdivisions at The Trails, a 450 acre mixed-use master-planned community with approximately 2,000 lots in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Design plans include all backbone infrastructure providing access and utilities to each of the 20+ tracts, paving, signing & striping, bike lanes and trails, storm drain, street lighting, median and intersection geometric and adjacent sub-division coordination.
• Sundance Subdivision at Huning Ranch, Los Lunas, NM: Implementation of the Huning Ranch master plan which developed into the Huning Ranch Area Plan, approximately 2,194 acre planned unit development and master planned community in Los Lunas, NM which will be phased within a 15 year period. The design included 100% retention of developed flows, by using park-ponds/detention ponds to contain runoff. Design duties included all infrastructure design, including waterline, sanitary sewer, drainage, roadway, and grading for the 400 lot subdivision.
• Arrowwood Subdivision of Westside Albuquerque: The project involves creating approximately 450 residential lot subdivision in southwest Albuquerque. The development is single family housing with approximately 5 to 6 dwelling units per acre. Design included a drainage master plan conveying approximately 600 cfs of developed flows into a concrete lined AMAFCA channel through a series of pipe networks.
• Sportsman Ware house, Las Cruces, NM: Drainage and grading design of a six acre sportsman ware house in Las Cruses, New Mexico including the design of an underground water detention system, storm water pollution prevention plan, earthwork volume, engineer’s estimate and drainage report. Also performed the traffic impact analysis for the property including all existing and proposed capacity analysis.
• Merillat Business facility, Los Lunas, NM: The project involved the civil design through local agencies for a 50 acre site with approx. 500,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Designed and prepared the site plan, final grading & drainage plan, utility plan, drainage report, engineer’s estimate, final earth work volume and storm water pollution prevention plan.
• Special Assessment District 7 for Unit 17 of Rio Rancho Estates, Rio Rancho, NM: Designed and developed a drainage master plan for the design and construction of the storm drain infrastructure required to convey the off-site and on-site flows generated by the improvements anticipated as a result of Special Assessment District 7 for Unit 17 of Rio Rancho Estates of Alameda Grant, Sandoval County, New Mexico.
ROADWAY & DRAINAGE
• Sunset Garden’s Road, Albuquerque, NM: Analyzed the hydrologic characteristics associated with the existing and developed conditions for the design of storm water conveyance systems for Sunset Gardens Road approximately 4,500 ft located in Bernalillo County, NM. The improvements proposed will consist of new pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk. Also designed the storm water pump station.
• Unser Blvd. Phase II Extension Project - Rio Rancho, New Mexico: This project spans from Cherry Road to Progress Blvd., a 3 mile segment. The project consists of widening the limited access principal arterial roadway from a 2 lane undivided road to a 4 lane divided road with curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm drain and bicycle lanes with a future expansion to 6 lane facility. Design plans include paving, signing & striping, bike lanes and trails, storm drain and detention facilities, street lighting, median and intersection geometric.
• Camino Lomita Road, Village of Pecos, NM: Design and preparation of construction plans for a limited access roadway. Design elements included roadway elements, traffic control plan, drainage report, construction estimates and the coordination of the plans with various state and local agencies.
• Jade Court and Holt Court subdivision, Albuquerque, NM: Designed storm drain systems and detention facilities within portions of Blocks 143 and 144, Unit 13, Rio Rancho Estates.
• Albuquerque Public Schools: Grading and drainage improvements for Sandia high school, Valley high school. Design services included a drainage analysis and report of both onsite and off-site drainage.
• Design of various sites: Drainage and grading design of various commercial sites, including a Honda dealership, Lowe’s and office buildings. Design including grading and drainage, utility design and preparation of plan sets for submittal to City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County for construction permits.

• Analyzed the capacity of a six-mile canal including bridge structures using HEC-RAS 3.1.1 for Truckee Meadows Water Authority.
