Projects:
Duplication-based Lower Power Concurrent Error Detection in Digital Circuits
• Solved the power consumption problem when adding a duplicate circuit to the original one to realize concurrent error detection while maintaining a relatively high fault detection rate. Figured out trouble system and developed test plans for fault management testing. Reduced power dissipation rate by 15%.
Course Project of Data Analysis: Investigation of Unemployment Rate during the Dot-Com Bubble
• Analyzed large data sets and applied statistic model such as linear regression and stepwise regression to predict the behavior of the seemingly erratic state of an economy and its measures.
• Modeled fluctuations of the unemployment rate during dot-com bubble of the mid 1990s, used spreadsheets for simple mathematics calculations.

Projects:
Image De-noising Based on Contourlet Transform Shanghai, China 2008
• Contourlet transform is used in image denoising to overcome the drawback of the wavelet transform which cannot capture contours ofof two-dimensional images effectively. Contourlet coefficients are firstly decomposed by the contourlet transform, then processed by soft thresholding. The de-noised image is finally reconstructed via the processed coefficients.
L'Oréal EStrat Day Competition Apr 2008
• Managed a portfolio of beauty brands and competed for worldwide leadership against 4 other virtual companies during six rounds in this online business simulation.
• Translated strategies into critical decisions: pricing, production volume and capacity, research and development, marketing, brand positioning and diversity and equity. Interpret 30+ graphs and make 150+ decisions in each round.
• Designed, developed and implemented sound quantitative analyses ensuring that high quality, timely and critical pricing, risk and performance analyses are available.
Ernest & Young Business Case Contest May 2007
• Formulated strategic model to evaluate financial situation of portfolio companies, including market driver analysis and financial diagnosis.
• Applied financial-engineering transaction structures.
• Performed risk & return and portfolio optimization analyses.
