Construction Field Superintendent
Coordinated with construction supervisors, subcontractors and self perform crews, the means and methods required for the successful execution of work. Managed and supervised as many as 200 workers at one time. Charged with keeping accurate daily and weekly reports, and safety documentation. Maintained 8-week look ahead schedule processed and verified weekly work plans reflected the master schedule’s established goals and objectives in accordance with defined priorities and time constraints .Continuously monitored and analyzed operations discovering inefficiencies. By implementing change provided an opportunity to realize substantial gains and better use of resources
Selected Achievements:
• Promoted from carpenter to field superintendent in six weeks.
• Sagewood; $283M, 919,100 sqft, state of the art, luxury, assisted living complex on 38 acre site. Oversaw wood framing, exterior finishes and roofing on two 4-story 140 unit buildings. Took over indoor pool and building which was behind schedule. I took over and finished 2 weeks early, in time for grand opening.
• Adopted the LEAN Construction Principals with great success, contributing to the completion of Sagewood 3 months early while maintaining the highest quality, saving the owner approximately $15M and The Weitz Company $8M.
• OSHA recommended Sagewood as a project to emulate. Created a safe work environment by enforcing safety requirements and rules for all workers. Promoted a culture of safety by constantly looking for safety concerns and abating by delegating to the proper supervisor.
• Chaired daily and weekly subcontractor meetings ensuring production, coordination and accountability among trades’ thus uncovering issues before they affected the critical path.
• Successfully implemented quality control program designed to hold subcontractors accountable for the production and quality resulting in minimal punch list and timely completion.

Hands on working owner involved with every aspect from ground up of renovation and new construction of high-end to low-end residential housing, condominiums and commercial space. Accurately estimated project costs, material take-offs and timelines. Worked closely with owners, architects and subcontractors to ensure construction quality, safety and accountability, creating open lines of communication promoting scheduling compliance and product quality. Monitored, performed and inspected all work from start to finish. Oversaw and scheduled required inspections and permitting.
Selected Achievements:
• Contracts ranged from $500 to $200K, included simple drywall patch and paint to tenant improvements to new construction.
• Complex renovation of historical house for the Salvation Army, restoring the building to its original 1892 condition, from stabilization of foundation to new roofing. Stabilizing the structure with injections and fabricating millwork to match original was challenging.
• Converted RV garage to high-end nanny’s quarters, Client was so happy with work he contracted $150K demolition and renovation of existing Arizona Mechanical office space.
• Referrals accounted for 85% of contracts. Worked on Morrow Avenue, Glendale, Arizona for 3 years moving from one neighbor to the next.
• Ice Den Scottsdale, Arizona. Framed restaurant and game room at Phoenix Coyotes training facility.

Superintendent / Foreman
Responsible for the wood and metal framing and drywall phases of multi-family and light commercial projects. Coordinated designs, schedules, and budgets to optimize project completion. Ensured work progressed according to construction schedule and that material and equipment delivered on site and on time. Managed crews of up to 90 journeymen carpenters, drywall hangers and general labors.
