The Hampton Roads Division was newly created as of 04/2006 and delivered 270 homes. Hampton was one of 5 divisions to exceed their goals and earnings in the country. We changed our direction, reduced costs, itemized estimating, consolidated vendors, standardized offerings and developed new product lines to achieve success in a down market, responsibilities included working under the Division P & E Manager :
· Progress meetings with staff of 4 involving Purchasing, Estimators, Design Center, Centralized Scheduling, Starts problem solving.
· Working with P & E Manager concerning vendor selection/pricing, vendor rating, cost reduction, specifications, option offering, option pricing, community setup, budget creation, PO’s issued, VPOs, starts procedure, permits, product selection, land development coordination, Rebate reporting, etc…
· Purchasing coordination of Regional and National Purchasing Programs
· Prototype rollouts including plan development, redlines, and supervised walk-thru process
· Community setup standards, implemented series specifications, all procedures
· Manage Insurance guidelines and vendor contract compliance
· Manage Architecture through internal plan shop, outside architects and outside engineers
