Apprentice Carpenter
I have recently been assisting the project superintendent on $40 million dollar office building managing site work, maintaining safety procedures, and coordinating subcontractors. I am also responsible for skillfully performing necessary rough and finish carpentry tasks. I was recently awarded the “Jacobsen Extra Miler” award for my positive attitude and for going above and beyond expectations.
Intern
I was accepted into the summer internship where I worked closely with the Project manager and Project engineer on an $8 million dollar parking structure and a $40 million dollar office building. I was involved in reviewing and processing RFI’s, Change orders, Submittals, and compiling Operation manuals and warranty information. I was exposed to many aspects of management including project management, Estimating, Scheduling, and safety. Out of the 5 interns I was the only one that was hired on after the program ended.

Project Superintendent
I successfully managed all construction activities pertaining to assigned jobs. I also supervised crews of 1-5 crew members while planning, budgeting, and performing all necessary construction activities. I was also involved in estimating, ordering materials, and job site management discussions to help solve problems and make improvements to daily operations. I self performed work in all aspects of construction including; concrete, framing, roofing, drywall, siding, minor electrical and pluming, tile, paint, finish trim, etc. I trained many employees to be skilled craftsmen which in tern increased productivity and profitability for the company. I also maintained construction logs that provided the company with valuable information for future projects.

During my employment at Harvest Homes I learned many construction trades skills and gained an understanding of the construction process such as scheduling and subcontractor coordination. I worked directly with the superintendent directing the framing and concrete work. I was also responsible for finishes such as cabinetry, trim, flooring and tile, painting, siding, roofing, and installing finish hardware.
