Jimmy joined Bovis Lend Lease as an Assistant Superintendent in 1989 and was promoted to Superintendent in 1994. As a Superintendent, Jimmy provides overall leadership for on-site field administration, supervision and technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of assistants, foreman, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel. Jimmy is also responsible for directing the planning, coordination and execution of work on time, within budget, and maintaining a safe workplace. He has 30 years of construction experience.

This is a 500,000 sf design/build facility to included 110,000 sf cold storage, 350,000 sf dry storage, and 10,000 sf of Class A office space. Scheduled completion 2009. Cost is confidential.
PPD Corporate Headquarters
Wilmington, North Carolina
This privately developed and funded project includes the new construction of a 400,000 sf office building in the historic district of Wilmington. Currently in the preconstruction phase, budgets are being provided at the program level, schematic level, conceptual level and eventually to the design level when a guaranteed maximum price can be established and construction began. Plans call for a 12- to 14-story structure, with two levels below grade parking, health club, terrace areas, conference center and office space. Cost $70 Million.
PPD Corporate Headquarters Parking Deck Facility
Wilmington, North Carolina
This 6-story precast parking deck will consist of 1150 parking spaces and 2 elevators to service the PPD Corporate Headquarters office building. It is a design build structure with Cline Design architects. Cost $18 Million.
Noisette — Master Plan Program
North Charleston, South Carolina
Role: Superintendent
The Noisette Community is the redevelopment of the old Navy base in North Charleston, SC using the principles of sustainability and green building. Bovis Lend Lease is providing both preconstruction and construction services. The expected duration of the building and infrastructure program is from ten to twenty years. Projects include River Front Park, Noisette Urban Alliance, Bldg 400 Lobby /Interior upfits and 10 Storehouse Row Renovations. Cost $9 Million.
McLeod Regional Medical Center — Women’s Pavilion Vertical Expansion & Central Energy Plant Addition
Florence, South Carolina
Role: Superintendent
This was a 288,000 sf seven floor vertical expansion that included surgery, post-op and patient beds. The building was structural steel with a brick exterior facade and sloped metal roof. A 22,000 sf addition to the central energy plant was also required to house new chillers. The existing building was retrofitted to meet new IBC codes. Two new seismic elevator towers were being built 12 stories high outside the existing building to brace the existing and new construction. Completed December 2006. Cost $63.2 Million.
Wachovia Mortgage Center Renovations
Raleigh, North Carolina

Bovis Lend Lease was awarded the upfit program for Wachovia Bank spanning through 21 branches. The scope includes alterations, fitouts, and demolitions to existing parts of the branch, 3,000 – 20,000 sf renovations to existing computer and training rooms; replacing carpet and wallpaper; new paint; replacing breakroom cabinetry; replacing toilet partitions; renovating computer room A/C units; UPS, sprinkler systems, and acoustical insulation. Completed April 2003.
Merck & Co., Inc.
Wilson, North Carolina
Role: Superintendent
The scope of work included the demolition of a 36,000 sf section of the existing facility and construction of a new three-story, 60,000 sf building to replace the demolished building. The bottom two levels of the facility houses production area for five tablet compressing bays with associated cleaning and maintenance areas. These levels also include office space and locker/changing areas for plant personnel. The penthouse level houses five air-handling units with associated ductwork and piping. The building system includes ultrapure water, processed hot and cold water, chilled water, heating hot water, steam and condensate, domestic hot and cold water compressed air, house vacuum, house dust collection, fire sprinkler, building automation and process controls. Interior finishes are mainly based on Class 10,000 clean room standards. Completed November 2002. Cost $22.9 Million.
Aldersgate — A United Methodist Retirement Community — Additions and Renovations
Charlotte, North Carolina
Role: Superintendent
Project included 190,000 sf of community building and apartments. The new three-story apartment addition consists of 74 apartment residences. The award winning design for the Memory Support Units houses approximately 45 Alzheimer patients, a medical clinic and a town square with a pet shop, beauty parlor, general store, a movie room and a skylit atrium that has lush landscaping and free roaming pets such as birds, dogs and cats for the patients. The new commons building includes a chapel/assembly room, wellness facility with aquatic center and exercise room, bank, library, convenience store, administrative spaces, and an elegant two-story living room featuring a fireplace and balcony overlook. The Epworth Tower renovations includes a redesign of the dining room creating a more elegant formal dining atmosphere and an addition of an informal cafe for those residents who prefer a more casual atmosphere. A connecting corridor between the new commons building and the Epworth Tower houses the arts and crafts, sewing, weaving, ceramics, billiards and card room. We coordinated all staff and resident moves into the new facilities and all low voltage such as data, telephone, security, audio visual, and personal emergency response systems. Completed January 2003. Cost $25.8 Million.
Colonnade One
Raleigh, North Carolina
Role: Superintendent
Class A, 126,000 sf, 5-story corporate office building consisting of a steel structure on spread footings with granite accent precast and curtainwall skin. The building has two-traction and one hydraulic elevator, membrane roof, and is fireproofed with sprinklers. Granite flooring and cherry paneling highlight the lobby finishes. Also included are granite vanities. The entire project includes office park infrastructure and sitework for 3 buildings in Phase One and 3 buildings in Phase Two. Completed April 2001. Cost $10.2 Million.
The Healing Place

41,000 sf shelter/rehab facility consisting of three single-story buildings. The structure consists of exterior load-bearing masonry walls with bar joist/deck structure. Project contracted as Design/Build with Architect working under Bovis Lend Lease direction and MEP contracted as Design/Build. Completed January 2001. Cost $ 4.6 Million.
One Park Drive

MCI Administrative Complex
Cary, North Carolina
Role: Superintendent
This complex includes a 145,000 sf, six-story main tower, a three-story wing containing 120,000 sf, and a one-story cafeteria. The 650,000 sf adjoining parking deck contains spaces for 1,900 automobiles, three floors of which are underground. Sitework included extensive paving. The office building and parking deck are connected via a 150’ pedestrian bridge. Completed February 1998. Total cost $49 Million.
GiViDi USA Manufacturing and Office
Ridgeway, South Carolina
Role: Superintendent
Facility for the production of fiberglass fabric for laminated computer boards consisting of 82,000 sf of manufacturing space and 7,000 sf of office area. Serves as the Milan-based company’s USA headquarters. Completed June 1997. Cost $5.3 Million.
Embassy Suites Hotel

238,131 sf, 253 suites, nine-story traditional Embassy Suites design with a full height atrium. Completed October 1997. Cost $20.8 Million.
Citadel Barracks — Replacement

Duke University — Each Campus

35,000 sf of renovation to existing three-story student union built in 1925. It involved total gutting of the existing facility and restoring it with a dining facility, administrative offices, post office and student stores. Completed October 1995. Cost $4.1 Million.

11,000 sf interior renovations to existing space in Raleigh's First Union Capitol Center. Completed August 1995. Cost $350,000.
Spartanburg Regional Medical Center

216,000 sf, eight-story patient tower of cast-in-place concrete. The facility provides 168 new patient rooms in addition to several ORs, LDRs, nursery and a new main entrance. Also included is 16,000 sf of renovations. Completed September 1994. Cost $6.6 Million.
Lexington Medical Center
West Columbia, South Carolina
Role: Superintendent
142,000 sf, four-story addition and renovation to existing patient services tower, including operating rooms, emergency room, I.C.U, and recovery. Temporary support of the recovery wing was necessary to finish excavation work under the occupied hospital. Completed July 1994. Cost $5.7 Million.
First Union Capitol Center
Raleigh, North Carolina
655,272 sf, 30 story leasable floors with two cut up top floors housing mechanical equipment. Larger floors (Plaza -6th) are of handset granite skin. Tower steps in at 7th to a square with notched inside corners. Rises to the roof and has a granite gable at each elevation projecting back to center with metal roof. Extensive granite adjoins the site work on Mall and throughout Plaza Mall. Consists of three major entrances. Completed August 1991. Cost $49.5 Million.
