My construction experience is extensive on a management level in all aspects of construction including but not limited to new construction, structural preservation, and renovation from residential to high rise commercial construction. I have over 18 years of experience in the construction industry. I am a Florida state licensed Certified General Contractor and a Michigan Licensed Builder.
I have a very strong background in Architecture, and a strong ability in plan review, allowing me to effectively interface with Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors and Vendors to establish a viable and feasible project. I have worked on both the Owners side and General Contractor’s side of the business offering me a well rounded understanding of the demands of both.
My knowledge of scheduling software, project management software and Microsoft Office products prove to be valuable tools for my management of projects. I have a working knowledge of such programs as Timberline, Primavera and Microsoft Project among others.

IDC Construction is devoted exclusively to the hotel and resort new construction and renovation industry. I have executed projects as both Owners Representative and as Project Manager with this firm. Projects I have played a key role in are as follows:
July 2008 to July 2009
Project Manager for the $110 million dollar renovation and additions to the five star Boca Raton Beach Club and Resort in Boca Raton, Florida included the coordination of Architects, Engineers, subordinates, vendors and subcontractors. Required the review, implementation and strict adherence to plans and specifications to negotiate and award contracts and execute the work. In conjunction with coordinating suppliers, consulting design and engineering professionals from around the world to maximize construction value for the client, analytical support for the development and management of project schedules, budgets and quality to ensure that the customer’s requirements were being met. Position required extensive interaction and relations with the Owner throughout the course of the project.
December 2009 to Present
Project Manager for the renovation of the 315 room Park Vista Gatlinburg, TN and conversion to a Double Tree Hotel. The project consists of the complete renovation of the guest rooms, public areas and installation of new FF&E. The Hotel is maintaining occupancy during the entire renovation. Project requires extensive use of Microsoft Project to coordinate the Project schedule with the Hotel Management to accommodate the occupancy. Responsibilities include the creation of Subcontractor scopes, negotiation and buyout of the work from Subcontractors, management of subordinates to execute the work and budget development and tracking to maintain profit.
May 2009 to Present
Owners Representative for the new construction in Pittsburgh, PA of a Hyatt Place Hotel. Responsibilities encompass the oversight of the General Contractor, review of contracts for scope, budget, and adherence to Contract documents, schedule development and maintenance and pay application review. In conjunction with reporting and communication with the Owner to ensure the project’s success.
February 2010 to Present
Owners Representative for the 311 room Marriott Evergreen Conference Resort, Stone Mountain, GA. exterior and interior renovations. Position requires the accountability and management of project Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers and the General Contractor. Extensive use of Timberline Project Management software for the reporting and documentation of the project to Ownership and Hotel Management has been implemented. In addition my responsibilities include the leadership of Project meetings, budget development and management, scheduling and constant interaction with the Ownership to develop the final product to the Owners satisfaction.

Glenn Wright Construction and Development
This construction and development firm is located in Fort Lauderdale, with its primary focus being the construction of single and multi family semi custom infill homes on the east side of Fort Lauderdale. This Project Management position requires the simultaneous management of approximately thirty concurrent projects ranging from $1.5 to $4.5 million dollars each. Project Management responsibilities cover the full lifecycle including city permitting, project buyout, construction management, quality control and client management, resulting in the final production of a turn key home.

Hines Interests
This worldwide real estate development firms Detroit office was responsible for development and property management , acting as the owners representative of the General Motors World Headquarters at the Renaissance Center, a structure consisting of four, forty two story buildings and one seventy two story building rising from a five story podium along the Detroit River. My position involved the management of approximately 80 million dollars worth of construction during my assignment. All projects were completed on or before scheduled completion, and within budget. The complexity of these projects demanded the utilization of Primavera management software. Projects that I was responsible for included but were not limited too the construction and integration of five emergency generators to supply emergency power to the entire structure, the construction and integration of a world class security/ fire command center for the complex, numerous core and shell projects as well as tenant fit outs. The demolition and reconstruction of the four story podium at the front of the complex, and the removal of the existing chiller plants that supported a mass transit system to allow for the construction of the new front half of the podium. Responsibilities included interaction with Architectural and Engineering firms for review of construability, design and value engineering, the buyout and contract execution of projects, management of general contractors, schedule and cost management, and quality control. The position involved a great deal of interaction with city officials and owner relations.
