Work Experience:
02/2007 – 09/2009: IAP Walter Reed Medical Hospital. As journeyman electrician, installed, repaired electric wiring system, and related switches. Distributed panels and outlet boxes, repaired a variety of electrical fixtures, tools and appliances. Received work order repairs daily, performed maintenance services, diagnosed system or equipment malfunction that consisted of inspections, repairs, test and adjust electrical buzzer and bell circuits, light fixtures, fans, switches, and heating appliances. Test circuits and equipment by use of splicing and connecting wires to fixtures, outlets, switches, receptacles, and power sources. I was responsible for set-up and disabling temporary power for special events. Such as, Veteran Day, Christmas, Easter, Labor Day etc., responsible for trouble shooting all external electrical lights for Walter Reed. I trained newly hired apprentices managed and oversee apprentice work and labor to ensure the job or project goes forward on schedule. At times, met with contractors, building managers or clients to report any concerns or progress as requested. Showed the ability to use electrical drawings; and troubleshoot electrical problems. Working hours consisted of scheduled and unscheduled hours that consisted of 24 hours on call for emergencies that may arrive.

Reading following blueprints and wiring schematics, using a variety of tools to install and securing wiring, fixtures or equipment, using test equipment to verify proper installation and operation, and confirming that new or repaired installations meet fire and safety code standards.
