Project Highlights
Process Plant Improvement Projects (2009 to Present) ˜ Budgets: $5M to $325M
Inspection and repair of two ammonia plant reformers; Inspections included color thermography, UT and visual to isolate hot zones and target areas for repairs through structural and refractory work. The work included catalyst upgrading, full internal inspections and burner replacement to increase process efficiencies.
Process plant restart and debottlenecking; A corporate acquisition required an ammonia plant restart that included process studies, material procurement, and new construction to support the restart and debottlenecking scope of work. I managed outside engineering services and craft contractors including mechanical, civil, electrical and inspection services.
Cooling Tower upgrade and plant cooling debottlenecking; Rebuilding an operational 4 cell cooling tower including electrical upgrades on the run and adding two new cells for increased plant cooling, ROI was 6 months at a project cost of $6.5 million.
