In my position as Project Manager, I managed the $21millions Donahue Elementary school and the new $11millions High School addition, for the NJSDA in Barnegat Township through to Substantial completion and close out.

As Project Officer at the New York City School Construction Authority, I managed 6 construction projects in 5 Brooklyn schools:
The $6 millions science lab project at South Shore High School and the $1 million playground improvement at PS 198 were managed up to substantial completion ahead of schedule.
In addition, I was Project Manager for the $4.5 millions roof and parapet replacement project at PS 217.
4 New Barrier Free Science Laboratories at Samuel J. Tilden High School at a cost of $3.7 millions. This included separate HVAC, supply water & drainage and chemical waste removal.
Run concurrently with designers Parsons Brinkerhoff in the same school, was the heating, plumbing and electrical upgrade to support systems in the school comprising of re-tubing one of four boilers, new pneumatic temperature control system, swimming pool drainage improvement and new distribution panel board and switchgear to better manage increasing electrical loads at a cost of $2.5 millions.
Also managed at PS 114, was the $3.9 millions window replacement project to 89-year-old school. A new playground and fire alarm upgrade were also part of the scope.
All projects were run using Expedition Project Management Software by Primavera.

Including, but not limited to Task orders, work scopes, project design/design management, construction contract documents, engineering and coordination, materials research and client interface.

I worked as a Project Manager with the Newark Public Schools overseeing the $3.5 million conversion of the former New Jersey Historical Society Building into office suites, exhibition space, conference facilities and student Television station.
Additionally I have managed the construction of a $850,000 science lab at Camden Middle School and the construction of the $1 million Computer Disaster Recovery Network Center at Dayton Street School to house the WAN, Fiber Optic Backbone for all the districts computers stemming from 84 schools and other ancillary offices.
Duties included review of schematic drawings prior to final design submission, implementation of Education Specifications, the preparation of bid packages, review of submissions, and administering the contract for the appointment of architects, engineers and contractors.

The inception of three new schools was assigned to me. During the design stage, I was involved in the implementation and development of Educational Specifications pertaining to the Newark District’s standards for new schools up to the Design Development stage. In addition, I was involved in the development of the Newark Public School District’s design criteria for new schools.

I was Project Superintendent with Don Todd Associates, Inc. and was involved in the following aspects of the construction process: General site layout & access; deep & shallow foundations such as caissons and piles; excavations, controlled backfilling and compaction; reinforcement for concrete elements; review of form work for structural integrity; observed concrete sampling & testing; monitored concrete curing; Inspected and monitored structural steelwork erection; monitored bolting, torque and plumbing of steel members; monitored construction activities for OSHA safety compliance.
Recent projects completed were the $11 millions Malcolm X Shabazz Multi-Purpose Athletic Facility for Newark Public Schools in Newark, NJ.
I have also completed an assignment as Project Superintendent on the $16 millions Martin Luther King Drive Redevelopment Project, a commercial mixed-use development for the Jersey City Economic Development Corporation, where my responsibilities included supervision of the construction process, reviewing plans and drawings, coordinating activities, inspection and quality control and ensuring that the project was completed on time and within budget.
I performed duties as an Inspector on the Curries Woods project for the Jersey City Housing Authority, to construct 18 units consisting of 9-two family, semi-detached, 3 and 4 bedroom townhouses. These projects involved road closures, traffic count and traffic diversion with full pedestrian access to ensure minimal disruption to the public.
