Construction Experience
Woods Restoration Services LLC – WRS Company
January 2009 to July 2009
Estimator, Construction Manager
I began my time at WRS as a freelance Estimator and prepared a bid package for a six story, $6M brownstone reconstruction project in midtown Manhattan. I was hired for the position of Construction Manager of Restoration Projects after my estimating project was completed. During my time there, I obtained IICRC certification in Water Restoration and Fire Restoration. I also passed the South Carolina General Contractor Unlimited Exam, and am eligible for reciprocal licensing in North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Utah.
WRS has entered a time of transition from their long-time business of Emergency Services and Restoration of primarily residential properties to a concentration on obtaining Military Contracts. The Federal Government Estimating and Construction Management processes for military contracts require specific qualifications and certifications that I do not have. The position of Construction Manager was eliminated due to the need to shift overhead funding to the government department.
