To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing you today with the aspiration of successfully continuing my career in the construction industry. After reviewing this cover letter and my attached resume, I hope you will consider me for a position with your company.
I would serve as an excellent employee for many reasons. I have been involved in the construction industry. I became a journeyman carpenter, for the past fourteen years, I have been employed by New England Builders, Inc. I was hired as a journeyman carpenter and was promoted to the carpenter foreman position. After two years as a carpenter foreman, I was promoted to the position of construction superintendent and successfully performed the duties of this position for the past ten years. During this time, I have managed projects from the demolition of an existing building phase to the final walk-through with the new homeowner. I take personal responsibility for the duties of a construction superintendent and value the opportunity to successfully complete a project within budget and on-schedule.
Please feel free to contact me whenever possible. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely yours,
Michael E. Jahnke
