Hi-Rise Development Company with offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Irvine, San Francisco and Florida with 52 completed Residential and Commercial buildings and annual volume of 5 – 7 projects with total development cost of over $1 billion.
Vice President - Development
Spearheaded development and construction operations for the firm in California & Nevada and provided strategic construction management on numerous hi-rise projects with average development cost of $170 million. Directed all aspects of the project development, leading a professional team of construction managers, designers and engineers.
Allure Las Vegas - 41 story concrete frame high-rise with 770,000 sq. feet of condominium tower with 428 units (ranging from 800 to 4,200 sq. feet), retail level and attached 6 story parking structure with rooftop swimming pool and 12 cabanas. Hard Construction cost of $140 million and Soft Costs & Financing of $80 million.
Took over the project January 2008 during a restructuring. Construction was 6 months delayed and units needed to be built-out and closed. Performed strategic review, replaced key management staff, improved field supervision and implemented daily reporting procedures. Established a recovery schedule, got the General Contractor to accept it and focus on finishing base building and brought in a new Contractor to expedite unit completion.
ï· Completed all base building work, common areas, landscaping and swimming pool installation within 60 days
ï· Hired and directed new: (2) Construction Managers; Director of Quality Control and Escrow Closing Manager

1200 ClubView (Beverly Hills) - 22 story concrete frame high-rise with 310,000 sq. feet of condominium tower with 35 units: floors 2-16 (4,100 sq. ft units); floors 16-22 (8,200 sq. ft. units), underground parking. Condo prices $6 to $15 million. Hard Construction cost of $100 million and Soft Costs & Financing of $72 million.
Led the project from pre-development through plans, permits and construction. Managed all aspects of development, including sales & marketing, unit layout customization, base building and unit construction. Participated in extensive soils study, under-ground water extraction solutions and structural design (project located over a subterranean river). During construction the project was sold to another Developer.
The Californian on Wilshire (Westwood) - 23 story concrete frame high-rise with 450,000 sq. feet of tower with 80 fully customized units (2,750 to 5,850 sq. feet), 10 maids units and underground parking. Condo prices from $2 to $6 million. Hard Construction cost of $95 million and Soft Costs & Financing of $68 million.
Hired as Director of Development to take control of the interiors and unit customization program and coordinate each unit’s customized layout with the base building systems. Construction was 9 months delayed and over the budget.
ï· Overcame previous management errors; able to shorten base building and unit completion schedule by 60 days
ï· Turned around interiors and implemented a successful $30 million customization program for layout and finishes
ï· Led a successful operation and within 7 mos. got promoted to Vice President and in charge of all LA projects
AMERICAN INVSCO CORP., Chicago, Illinois ▪ July 2002 – April 2005
One of the Nation’s largest condominium developers with offices in multiple cities who has developed and sold,
or managed 45,000 condo units in more than 40 cities across the U.S. with property values in excess of $4 billion.

Recruited by this Developer to oversee base building and unit construction and provide financial management for the project. Acted as the right-hand man to the V.P. of Development and reported to the CFO and Senior Vice President.

WALSH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, Chicago, Illinois ▪ June 1997 – July 2002
Ranked the Nation’s 15th largest contractor in ENR’s Top 400, this 110-yr old family owned company provides general contracting, construction management and design-build services in numerous cities and twelve regional offices

Directed and coordinated all construction work for Architectural & MEP trades during base building and unit build-out. Managed construction team, negotiated contracts, approved change order pricing and resolved technical field issues. Led Special Projects team upgrading all finishes from apartments to condos, while maintaining the original schedule.
The Sterling - 50 story concrete frame high-rise with 570,000 sq. feet of tower with 389 apartments (converted to condos during construction) and attached 12 story parking structure with rooftop swimming pool, tennis courts and gymnasium. Hard Construction cost of $85 million with separate $10 million contract for condo finishes upgrades.
