I have several years of experience in managing the many facets of a manufacturing company, with proven experience in applying principles across manufacturing segments. My approach to any job is based on quality, cross training, and an understanding of the business.
Working in Research and Development as the Manufacturing Manager for an international prototype stamping company, I managed from conception to completion, 150 accounts with up 35 projects on the work floor at any given time, over multiple shifts. As Operations Manager for a custom production facility I serviced over 40 outlet stores, multiple builders, kitchen and bath boutiques and retail segments, with up to 50 projects on the floor, with multiple shifts of production, with each project the most important. At each employer I was a customer service liaison, assuring the customers’ expectations were set appropriate and then exceeded. All production emphasis was made with the customers’ needs and value in mind.
My experience ranges from Automotive, Aerospace, Appliance, and Construction industries.
With each employer my areas of emphasis have always been:
• Developing and incorporate company lean vision and values into daily activities and behaviors; guide and motivate others to remain committed to that philosophy.
• Manage and participate in continuous improvement projects and events. Use continuous improvement tools to achieve streamlined processes.
• Drive lean replenishment systems and monitor results for effectiveness.
• Perform operations functions: productions shipping/delivery, field service, maintenance, customer service, scheduling, materials and purchasing, and all associated personnel.
• Maintain operating budget; manage and control expenditures and variances.
• Ensure staff enforces Company policies and procedures, plant wide safety rules.
• Develop personnel; improve processes; reduce costs; monitor quality and improvements; new product development and implementation; and on-time product completion.
• Review productions costs and production quality, and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant.
• Interview, hire, train, terminate, discipline, and coach employees.
• Perform all work in accordance with all applicable safety procedures.
• Budget creation to collecting metrics for continued improvement.
• Building quality into the process.
With the ability to apply innovative ideas and experiences coupled with my strong engineering and design background I can make a positive impact in the shortest amount of time.
I believe that a record of quality, cost, and timing superiority will always reach the best outcome for both my clients and me. Including my diverse background, at this point I feel I could make a definite contribution to your success, and would appreciate the opportunity to use my experience and abilities for this purpose.
