Reviewed and prepared contracts, determined critical schedules, restraints and major tasks, managed overall job progress and ensured all work was completed on time or ahead of schedule and within budget. Provided sales and marketing leads, maintained website and company newsletters. Monitored estimates/budgets; planned cash needs, submitted AIA draws, maintained cash flow for all projects, set-up/maintained current files for new jobs and proposals; and closed-out jobs. Responsible for all federal projects as well as built relationships with the federal government, completion of the following projects: Andrews Air Force Base Visitors Quarters, a 300,000 sq. ft. project for the Air Force; A 10 story addition to Building 31 at the National Institute of Health (NIH); A complete renovation of the Vienna Elementary School in Vienna, VA; and construction of the Hampton Inn Hotel at Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsible for Estimating/Budgeting, Design, Implementation of Contracts, Specification and Document review and procurement, management of all current projects in the Washington D.C. and Maryland areas. Maintained bottom-line responsibility for corporate profitability, viability and facilitates strategic and tactical planning during negotiations and bid preparation. In addition to oversaw project such as the design and construction of the widening of US Route 301, the Charles County Court House, Hunt Ford Automobile dealership and various significant engineering projects throughout Charles County, Maryland.

Chesapeake Builders & Designers, Inc., Leonardtown, Maryland
Responsible for Estimating/Budgeting, Design, Property acquisition, Implementation of Contracts, Specification and Document review and procurement, management of all projects in the North-Eastern area, including Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Managed and directed the daily operations of six subordinate project managers and fourteen construction superintendents. Procured new sales leads, and developed company strategies which enabled the company to expand into new and diverse areas. Designed, developed and managed the construction of two Community Centers including pools and tennis courts and three commercial buildings totaling over 100,000 sq. ft. each. Managed more than twenty five large scale tenant renovation projects and eleven multi-million dollar construction projects for government agencies
including (Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, (ATF) built a secure 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse for the storage of government seized weapons and computers, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Renovated a 6 story office building on 6th street in DC, General Services Administration (GSA) various projects, National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA) built new 5 story office building as well as renovated the visitors center at Goddard Space flight Center and Federal Election Committee (FEC) renovation of a 4 story office building in DC. These projects were completed on time and within budget. Many of these projects were executed concurrently and clients were routinely provided with current status updates which resulted in the company maintaining a positive relationship with the clients throughout the construction process.

Responsible for directing and approving projects from conceptual stage through planning, engineering, procurement, startup and construction. Reviewed contracts, determined critical schedules, and managed construction to ensure all projects were completed on or ahead of schedule and within budget. Projects included: construction of the Wildewood Shopping Plaza, a 259,000 sq. ft. shopping center with more than 60 tenants and four anchor stores in California, Maryland; development of a Master Homeowners Association for the Community of Wildewood, a Planned Unit Development consisting of 1,825 homes with a total build-out of 3,600; and construction and leasing of buildings for Veda, GE Services, Tracor and General Dynamic’s and other defense contractors located in the Wildewood Technology Park, California Maryland and Patuxent River Navel Air Station (these new secure facilities were all for the support of the Patuxent River Navel Air Station.
