Objective: Results-oriented Superintendent position
I am submitting the enclosed resume for consideration for employment with your company. I possess 18 years of extensive construction experience with 10 years in supervisory roles. In addition, I can bring to your company substantial expertise in managing a wide range of commercial projects.
My solid references indicate my reputation for honesty, integrity and commitment to quality and excellence in my trade.
While gathering the proficiencies demonstrated on my resume I have made numerous contributions to my current employer that has benefited the bottom line. One example: at the job’s onset we were held back for weeks due to permitting issues. However, because of my strong planning and scheduling skills, we are currently a month and a half ahead of schedule. My accomplishments are derived from my exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and an unparalleled work ethic. My reputation precedes me for having an eye for controlling costs and finishing the project under budget, without compromising quality.
Early in my professional career, I noticed that there are two types of superintendents: the kind that get results under ideal conditions, and the kind that gets results under any condition. A strong ability to perform effectively under stress is imperative. As a young man, I began striving toward this goal, instilling a passion into every job I sign my name to. I have studied from as many of the result-getting mentors as I could identify to build my own merit, while focusing on the
future merit of building: sustainability. To this end, I have completed several L.E.E.D construction workshops and seek to be certified within the year.
Successful project superintendents have a responsibility for executing plans on schedule in a safe, cost effective, and quality conscious manner. It is also imperative that they facilitate strong relationships with all those they communicate with daily. I believe my extensive experience in reading and understanding plans and specs, in addition to my unsurpassed leadership skills will be an undeniable asset to your company.
I am enthusiastic about exploring opportunities with your organization and look forward to meeting with you. I am certain I can contribute to your goals, objectives, and future successes. Also I am first aid/CPR, OSHA, USACE CQM-C certified.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Travis Kelley
